Edited by: The TX on 11/04/2008 23:27:51 After seeing this recently locked thread, I thought, 'yes, perhaps we can talk about onions'.
So here are my thoughts on onions.
I like onions. I like to have onions on top of my cheese on toast, and when the cheese melts, the onions become partially submerged, and the bits that don't sink in get a little bit toasted and it's goooooooood.
Onions are good at keeping away colds and things. But also for keeping away other people. A bit like spicy food and jalepenos, which is a word that starts with the letter 'j' but you should actually pronounce it as an 'h', which is also mispronounced sometimes, in that people say 'haitch' instead of 'aitch'. But that's getting off-topic, the topic is onions.
The last thing I have to say about Onions in this OP, is that there is a road in Brighton called 'Union Road', but someone has drawn a thick black line across the top of the U so it looks like an O, making it 'Onion Road' - and for some reason, everytime I see it I actually make a little 'lol' - it just tickles me, and I can't help but say it to myself out loud. The passengers on my bus think I'm slightly strange though.
Ok, I'm done talking about onions now.
Edit: I found a typo.

Onions are like Ogers, which come in T1 and T2 flavours.
I once saw someone go off to make a cuppa tea and he popped an ally with his T2 Ogers. Of course this ticked off both parties as one was sitting in a pod, the other having to shell out to get a new ship.
Okay, I changed the topic from Onions to Ogers, who is going to change it from Ogers to ____ based on my post?

Yes, better than the thread being locked for having no debatable puropose. Allows the thread to be there and not locked because the mods feast on these kinds of threads....

No, THIS is the ultimate!
Just had to, sorry. And despite typing 'just had to, sorry' beneath my link, some people would still have clicked on it by now. How silly do you feel now, eh? -------------------- [Signature]

This thread WINS, no doubt about it.
I LOVE onions, I eat them raw with my cheese sandwiches, cooked in any of my stews / currys / casseroles and they taste yummy when roasted. I buy a large bag of white onions every week and a small bag of red onions every fortnight. Chilli's are nice, jalepenos are a bit mild for my liking. I use bonnet chilli's in my curries, fahitas or enchilada but I use plain red chilli's in my stir frys. Garlic is a much maligned bulb of goodness. I like it roasted or in my stir-fry or curries. My wife loves it slightly toasted, added to butter and cooked with extra large mushrooms. Red, Orange, Yellow and sometimes Green Peppers are nice and work well with garlic or chilli's but not onions in my view (contraversial I know, discuss at your leisure ) I dont know any onion roads or union roads for that matter so I cant comment
There you have it, onions rock, chilli's burn and garlic scares vampires.
