From my home computer, I can see www.eve-online.com and the Chaos server. I cannot see myeve.eve-online.com or the live server, it says the server is down. It's been that way for about 14 hours now. From my work machine I can obviously see the myeve.---- since I'm posting. I'd assume I can see the live server as well but I'd think they'd get a little grouchy about me trying to play here. Any ideas? |

NVM, looks like I have two problems. I connected my computer directly to my DSL modem and now I can connect to Tranquility OK. Looks like that is a problem with my router. Worked fine up until yesterday but whatever. I think I can't connect to the forums from home because my ISP's DNS is screwed up, I can't connect to the D-Link site from there either.

Well I got home and spent a few hours going through every single firmware D-Link has released for my router and resetting all my options each time, it's a DI-614+. Still can't connect to myeve.eve-online.com or see the live server. According to this tech support link, CCP is blaming it on D-Link. According to Antar009's post here, D-Link is blaming it on CCP. I tried to open up all the necessary ports and even tried to DMZ my machine to no avail. I was debating on getting the European versions of the firmware since those seem to work, but D-Link says that they're not interchangeable and I don't want to take that much risk. Looks like whatever method CCP uses to detect packet-spoofing throws a false positive on D-Link routers. I can't afford or justify a new router over one game, and no way I can disconnect the other PCs in my house for any amount of time. Just when I was starting to think Eve was going to be my big EQ-Killer too Oh well, at least CCP let me know how they feel about US D-Link customers during the trial period and not after I gave them any money. See you guys in EQ

I have the same router. It was working fine until the patch this morning. I got into this game during the trial because we were able to resolve the issue. I had to open up a port for it. If they can't fix it, I want my money back for my unused time.
