Frigate tournament winner receives a Jove Frigate and the skill book to fly it.
What would it hurt CCP to have one flying around in EVE?
An every man for himself fight. Do it in rounds where the last one standing from each round advances. In the end, the last survivor gets the said prize.
I think this would spark great interest in the EVE community and have a tournament showing like never beforeāā.

These things (the only player learnable jovian skillbook and the only player-owned jovian ship) wouldn't fly around or be used, they would be sold to collectors for prices that make the price of state issue battleships look like tech 1 nanofibers. The "buying a few outposts and building a few titans" league.
In effect, CCP would award the winner of a frigate brawl with the monetary means to seriously change the political landscape in 0.0 advancing you from whatever state you are at to a fortified sov 4 footprint fielding multiple titans.
That is btw the reason why there weren't any new tournament ships given out at the last two tournament. These super rare items add a nice flavour to the game, as do the collectors (<3 Entity), but a bidding war between collectors would influence the game too much.

Lol i would love to see one but i think that it would either sell for an insane price something along the lines of a fleet of titans or it would alter the balance of power significantly, its almost un-killable.

Make them unsellable, untradable and have the winner get a new one every week if he lost the old one. zomg. Anyway, not gonna happen.

or what they could do is, make it so that you can't put weapons on it. Therefore making it just a nice trophy that you can fly around in :). 10m3 cargo or less so that it would be pretty useless for running boosters etc. around.
Otherwise, just no :P.
