I would like to voice a more temperate CA opinion here.
I cannot claim to represent more then one corporation of the many that make up Curse Alliance, but I know that many agree with me in strongly objecting to the use of ingame mails containing any ofrm of personal attack other then in-character ones that are mutually acceptable to those incolved.
On the other had Mr. Binary should understand that most of the CA is not intereste in roleplaying, and has the full right to be offended at the way Ticklepink has behaved, in an ooc way. The natural way of expressing this for those involved is in acts. She should have expected the reaction when she decided to make threats, spread incorrect assumptions under the guise of them being factual, and most of all turning on her old Alliance.
Fact is BOZO did not meet CA requirements, and more importantly was not seen working towards meeting them.
This is the reason BOZO would have been removed after the 2 week chance to make an effort to change their involvement in CA (if failing in that). The matter only escalated after the decision to was made by ticklepink.
In my opinion the CA members involved cannot be blamed
for taking drastic action. What they can be blamed for is letting things turn into personal out of character attacks.
That these may result in people quitting the game is a serious matter. Quitting the game because you can't face losses brought by your own actions is one thing, but quitting because of personal attacks is totally unacceptable.
I will not resent a person because of some smacktalking, or one or two emotional evemails containing mild abuse.
I do however resent people that do not make a difference between acceptable ingame aggresion (verbal and non-verbal) and the kind of harrasing personal attacks mentioned here.
Now understnad that I cant judge since I have not received any of these mails in my year of Eve yet. Nor have I been harrased into despair. I have not seen the mails Mr Binary is talking about, nor the chatlogs from local chats here refers to.
If you are speaking the truth, if the insults were of a persoanl and humiliating nature I can only advise you to petition the senders, even if they are my partners in Curse.
We forum users are not those that should judge such a matter. And besides giving my opinion, I will not.
