Hey all,
I guess this question is more for the GM's then anyone else, but feel free to comment and get ur voice heard too.
I want to know what is going on with the exploration sites? In the last week to week in half the only thing I have found are unknowns and perhaps two grav sites. What did u guys nerf them? I hear people everyday complaining about the same thing...no sites, but a ton of wasted time and isk for probing useless constellations. Its a real downer, and I would really appriciate an answer.
Thanks.

I'm seeing the same results this week. I scan the same constellations almost every day. I get radar/mag/grav/unk hits every day. Sometimes 3 in one constellation. However, this week, nothing. 1 hit the entire week. Something has definitely changed.

You could be scanning a dead area and nobody has reset the sites because there boring.

/signed. Have definitely noticed a decrease in amount of cosmic signature sites. I have to scan 10+ systems and even then I might not find something. Before I found one every 2/3/4 systems. As if scanning for sites back then didn't take long enough... now it's bordering on a waste of time. The jig is up. |

I've noticed it as well. However, I did manage to find a couple of signatures today but couldn't locate any of the sites. I gave up after using 6 sift probes to find a radar site in a .7 system. lol.

I've been exploring pretty solidly for the past week and have found an abundance of sites. In one constellation this week i have found at least 6 radar, 4 mag, 8 unknown and 2 6/10 complexs.
All my scanning has been done in 0.0 so it is a decrease in empire your noticing or across all regions?

We can't really use this kind of guessing for anything.
If someone else moves into your area and scans, you could get horrible bad weeks easily also Constelations doesn't gets their fair share of sites, it's to the best of my knowglede universe wide distribution, so some weeks a constelation can be empty.

Huh? I have signature in every 2-3 systems it seems, just yesterday got nearly 400mil worth of c-type loot from 4/10 in highsec.

I hunt in a small area of space. Within the 6 systems that I regularly go through and scan, there will always be at least 1 unknown and 1 profession site EVERY DAY. On the odd day there will be more, but I have never gone a day where one of these 6 systems didn't have at least one site.

We have been told that as soon as a signature is completed, it immediately respawns somewhere else in its "block"
This means that it doesn't matter how many explorers are out there, there should always be the same number of exploration sites out and about, correct?
But we also know that a 'block' is larger than a constellation, and could well be multi regional.
So it's entirely possible you won't find any sites in a constellation - they would be elsewhere in the 'block'.

you're finding some sites? even ****ty ones? I've scanned 10+ systems for both cosmic signatures and cosmic anomalies. Not a single site... where the hell have cosmic anomalies gone? Used to be like 3 per system. |

I've found 1 unknown site in 2 days of scanning (turned out to be a Radiance drone plex) but loads of anomalies. On, which i thought was rubbish at the time, even escalated into a 6/10 which was nice.
Dont seem to be many plexes, but anomalies are as common as ever.

lol at this, i find average of 1 Anomaly per system using my ship scanner...If I'm lucky i get 3 a system, and 2 a system isn't uncommon.

Guys guys guys, this is normal. You either need to go outside your normaly beaten path and get those sites to re-span in your area or wait till some other explorer does the same. All it means is that the sites are all sitting in some out of the way places no one scans normally.
The sites in high traffic areas are all nailed almost as soon as they spawn. But the sites in low traffic areas take time to get nailed. So sometimes you and your competitors get unlucky and chase all the spawns to low traffic areas by chance. It takes a while for the sites to make their random appearance back in the high travel areas.
