To clarify if some one initiates a crime in empire by initiating hostilites against a M8 that is currently ganged Can you defend your M8 by attacking the criminal.
2. Can you also kill the pod of the criminal with out suffering a sec status penalty.
I want to here from a Respected member of the community and I want to know the approximate date of when they verified this. Currently there is no real way to test this with out the possability of extreme penalty if the answer is no.

you cant kill the pod without ****ing off concord/sentrys :D
not sure about helping a gang m8, you supposed to be able to, but it was kinda buggy last time i asked about it

You can't help at all unless your Corp is at war with the offending person...
Heck if someone shoots you and you shoot back you'll still get ganked by Concord...
In anything over 0.5 DO NOT SHOOT unless you have a corp war with fighting "Yes" or you'll get a one way ticket to Pod'dom

If you're in the same grid WHEN HE FIRST GETS ATTACKED you should be able to help. If you're a second too late to warp in DON'T ATTACK.
I think you're only able to podkill -5 or lower people in empire space, if he started aggression towards your ship first doesn't matter, the pod is a "new ship" hence YOU start the agression and you'll get a sec hit and/or get attacked by sentry guns/concord.
Don't quote me on this but I think this is about right.

Not true.
If someone initiates agression against you, you're free to retaliate. If you touch the pod, however, you will get the same penalty to sec status as usual.

Ok orrestis i have noted that but I would like you to answer the rest of the question please , If I am ganged with a corp m8 and he gets attacked.
1. Can I attack his attacker with out penalty.
2. do i have to be in the same system , Belt or Grid
3. If your advice is wrong will i get reimbursed
4. I need to know these things to play this game properly

3. Exactly.
I have heard many conflicting reports of people still dying to concord even when ganged, or not dying to concord while ganged, so I can't give you an answer that is 100% correct.
Since I don't want you dying due to my stupidity, I'll refrain from giving an answer other then:
