killboards just dont tell the whole story ...
... as far as i heard insrg fleet was getting into the fight in small groups over time, so we might actually have been outnumbered most of the time ... only what i heard tho, stupid me was asleep and missed it =( ...

Yes.. even if Insurgency looses in numbers, they always win. They don't even lose if you kill all of their fleet, cause they always win. Crying if outnumbered, smacking if they are lucky :P

i dont get what you mean, you wanna say you didnt had those capitals or what ? there are people on both sides who lost 2-3 ships and came back.
We had those capitals, but they weren't all there from the beginning. All our bs weren't there from the beginning, more and more slowly trickled in. Few would die, few more would come, few more would die and so on. The battle details on the killboard make the battle appear very skewed as if we had all those BS on the field at one moment when our BS numbers was constantly fluctuating. Same with the capitals, people that lost ships went and grabbed their capitals and jumped into the fight.
If you don't like that explanation, then everyone who was there can tell you that it was a great fight and everyone enjoyed it. The end. -

Ahuh.
"balance" is subjective and in eve - non-existant. At the end of the day we held the field - I personally couldn't give a **** if the losers felt it was fair, balanced, good or even interesting. What mattered was winning and holding the field.
You can "analyse" killboards all day and do the maths on battleships all you like. Statistics prove only that statistics can prove anything if you do your maths right. I was satisfied that we held the field against 3 seperate alliances who all converged to steamroller us. Whether you think this was an impressive victory or not is largely irrelevent to me. Our aim in game is not to impress you or anyone else for that matter.

As the cliche goes - lies, damn lies, and statistics
Don't look at the killboard and assume you know better than us how the fight 'actually' went. You don't. INSRG were constantly outnumbered in the fight but more capitals and replacement ships kept coming in over the course of the 90 minutes or so the battle lasted.
There is a battlereport on SHC if you want to read it, and stop making silly assumptions based on a killboard summary. ----------

why are you so sure i wasnt there ?
outnubered ? 10 bs on 5 ms means they are outnumbered aswell. does it make balanced fight thou ? i dont need to read battle report and im not making silly assumptions.

I read the battle report in SHC and all seem to enjoyed the fight,i think you are doing more bad than good responding to insurgent in a slightly smacky way, that is assuming you have a main in MM.

dont worry for me i win much much more then i lose, im not bitter at all i just find it very funny to name such fight pretty balanced. if such fight makes glorious victory for you then thats lol for me.
thou im aware there are pretty normal people in your alliance (not darth ofc :P) i find it amusing to waste some time during the work to have no point debates with people who wont change their opinion no matter what you say, for a pure reason of not wanting to "lose" on forums.
as i said on start all i said is that fight was not pretty balanced. it was awesome fight, not much lag, almost 2 hours, everyone enjoyed it, insurgency held the field causing 6.6 bil dmg while susteining 6 bil, but 18 carriers and 4 moms dont make it balanced since in their repping mode it was impossible to brake their tanks. only carrier that died was the one that was out of the repping range. rawr gang had no firepower to even get a chance to brake their remote rep web (except on one thanatos for a bit :P).

From luckyduck
Quote: Tonight Insurgency was visited by several folks. First up, Pure came up roughly 60 strong with a hac/recon/nano gang. We chased them around for a bit, they safed and didn't want to move. Word came up of other hostiles in the area, so we took off looking for more to kill.
We stumbled across a 40 man hydra gang next, this was a thorough mix of fleet ships. We probed a few out, but they too quickly safed. Intel soon came in of lots more hostile activity in the area and we knew the fight was on as soon as these two gangs got support in.
We tried to take a quick fight against MM in z-k but due to a bit of an off scouting report, we got quickly out gunned. Unfortunately, i was told bc/cruiser gang, and 50-60 bs later we kinda went poof in large quantities. 3 moms and a carrier jumped into system and went straight for the gate MM was camping. MM quickly jumped and burned back for the in gate to start the fight off.
At that point, our support fleet was maybe 10 bs and 20 cruiser/bc sized ships... i was moving fast, so who knows. we came in far off the gate to start the engagement.
Over the next 2 hrs, the fight just continuously escalated. We slowly poored in support fleet ships... and after they died, a few changed to carriers, the rest continued in bs or below.
System was jammed, so no threat of hostile caps.
Due to lag, warp outs, and deaths, at any given point, we had maybe 30 support fleet on the field working their fleet. They had probably 100 for the same reasons.
Our fleet was in a constant state of reposistioning to stay alive and kill off whaterver possible to aid the moms.
at some point, and for some reason, one of our carriers landed 100 off the rest ontop of the now combinded MM/PURE/HYDRA/OTHER MONKEYs and quickly ate it. I think there was a rouge bubble that pulled him in on warp, still not sure.
Towards the end, we pulled the fleet off the field to regroup and get a new posistion, we were 250 off on warp out. we gained about 10-15 bs on bridge in's at this point. As we finally got up to roughly 15-20 combined carriers/moms, the field started to clear. whole fleet came back in to clear the final ~15ish bs remaining and support.
Probing, loot whoring on a lvl even RKK doesn't know (DIAN is a great teacher), and good fun chatting persued. I think both sides probably had a blast. Absolute blood bath about 280 total ships destroyed.
Well fought for both sides, look forward to doing it again.
http://kb.insrg.com/?a=kill_related&kll_id=31876
Lag for the most part was very managable by large scale fight standards. mods were very responsive and load times were at a minimum for the majority of people.
Love the north so far, good fun

whoever this Don guy is, he is obviously an anti-INSRG troll for whatever bitter reason (MM main, he got ganked by celes, whatever, I don't know or care)
he also made some 'knowing' remarks about us issuing an 'ultimatum' to RZR in another thread... which was also total BS and made him look like a silly troll (and yes I am in a position to 'know' about these things Don, and the ultimatum you refer to was 'please remove your deathstar from our outpost system' - some ultimatum)
so i think the best thing to do is ignore him, and let him vent his e-frustration whilst we get on with enjoying the pew pew heading in our direction :) ----------
