Right now I am using Evemon, but I want to find out how much SP/hr will I be doing if I am to train a learning skill to level 5 rather then 4.
Right now for example, I have 23 memory and 22 Intelligence... On anything that is Memory primary and Intel secondary, I make 2013 sp/hr based on evemon.
What will it be when Intel reaches 23 intel? My guess it will be a small boost since intel is only a secondary affect. So maybe 2040 sp/hr?
But my biggest curiosity is what will my sp difference be from 24/24 to 25/25. Will their be a big SP/hr difference? |

You get Primary stat + secondary stat/2 SP per minute.
Increasing your secondary stat by +1 will give you +30 SP/hr
Note that if you have Learning trained to 1-5, then your stat will actually increase by 1.02 - 1.1 (+30.5 - +33SP/hr) (This applies to stat boosts from implants as well) |

Perhaps I don't understand but by your calculation, 25 Mem plus 25 Intel = 50/2 = 25 * 60 (min) = 1500 sp/hr
That falls far short of what I am making in sp/hr currently.
Secondary stats "always" offer 30 sp/hr ?
Learning skill is at level 5, so I am getting the 1.10 boost.

Edited by: Estel Arador on 14/04/2008 15:27:59 There's a difference between "Primary stat + secondary stat/2 SP per minute" [what Malcanis is saying] and (Primary stat + secondary stat)/2 SP per minute [what you are doing in your calculation]. You have to divide only the secondary stat by 2.
Every minute you get 1 times the primary attribute 0.5 time the secondary attribute add those together and multiply by 60 to get SP/hour.
25 + 25/2 = 37.5 * 60 = 2250 |

No.
You get
25 (primary)
+25/2 (secondary
= 37.5 SP/minute (2250/hr)
An increase of +1 in your secondary stat will add 0.5 SP per minute = 30 SP per hours.
If you have the skill called Learning trained up then you gain more than +1.0 when you increase your start with an implant or skill. Learning adds +2% per skill level, so if your Learning skill is at level 4, your stat is multiplied by 1.08 - so each time you increase your stat you increase it by 1.08 points, not 1.0 points. |

If you have an InEve account there is a table in your profile that shows your current SP/hour for each possibility but, it does not show the benefits of higher stats. |

If my memory serves and/or my application of the commutative thingy from math class 15 years ago, your skill point gain is:
(primary + secondary / 2) * (1 + (0.02 * Learning)) = SP per minute
So increasing your primary by 1 point increases your per-minute rate by 1 + (0.02 * Learning) SP per minute, and increasing your secondary increases your per-minute rate by half that. If your Learning skill is maxed at 5, then each point of primary increases your hourly rate by 66 (1.1 SP/min * 60 min/hour) SP/hour, and each point of secondary increases your hourly rate by 33 (0.5 * 1.1 SP/min * 60 min/hour) SP/hour.

I'm not sure how you meant that reply, so please pick the most appropriate response from the following two responses:
1) Correct. 2) That's what he said (only he use Learning IV as an example where you used Learning V).

Because you have Learning V, one point of Int gives you 33 SP/HR for a skill that has Int as secondary.
(Others have said it, but didn't see a concise answer to your question)

Actually, you are most probably 26.4/26.4/18.7/26.4/26.4, but you could be 26.4/26.4/19.8/26.4/26.4 if you wanted to be (there's no good reason to want that though). Me, I'm "only" 25.3/25.3/18.7/25.3/25.3 myself.
P.S. As for all your questions (and a lot more), you can find the answers in the " 1 " link in my sig.
Short version ?
Actual attribute value = (base value + relevant basic learning level + relevant advanced learning level + relevant implant bonus) * ( 1 + (0.02 * learning level) ) = number which is displayed ROUNDED DOWN in your character sheet, but unrounded number is used in SP/hour calculations
Learning speed = [ main attribute actual unrounded value + (secondary attribute actual unrounded value / 2) ] * 60 SP per hour
