Edited by: Dust Puppy on 21/04/2004 14:40:28 Edited by: Dust Puppy on 21/04/2004 11:23:06 Ok I have incursus, navigation level 4 standard 1mn mwd and acceleration control level 3. The incursus have 285m/s base speed and with navigation level 4 it gives 342m/s. I should get 5.75x boost from an mwd with acceleration control level 3 and if we factor in the mass (1,100,000kg) I should have effective boost
5.75*1,000,000/1,100,000 = 5.227x which gives
1788m/s max speed.
Now the problem is I now my incursus can reach higher speed than 2000m/s so what¦s missing. Does agility reduce the mass or am I just doing this wrong.
Edit: wrong acceleration control level __________ Capacitor research |

pressed enter when I had finished making the subject.
Edit: and why in gods name did I put this in the skills forum
Could some nice moderator move this into the Ships and modules forum __________ Capacitor research |

No I don't think agility reduces the mass. Also you mention acceleration control 2 in the first part of your statement and acceleration control 3 in the end part of your statement. Which one is it ? As for the rest I just hunting around to see if I noted down any formula about speed calculations from when it changed to the 1/10/100 mn ab's & mwd.

I am not sure of the extact formula's but how about this:
285*1.2*(1+5.0*1.15)*1000000/1100000= 2098.6 m/s
This anywhere close?
If you think about your formula without the extra 1+ you would go slower with an afterburner not faster.

That actually is very close White, thanks. __________ Capacitor research |

Yeah, the problem is the fact that you multiplied the speeed by 575%, not ADDED to it by 575%.
