Eve is a love/hate relationship for many people. Great in some ways, not so great in others.
Right now it's the only spaceship MMO on the market and that's a bad thing.
Competition drives innovation, and with no competition Eve has never been forced to innovate or evolve, and has been stuck in Ultima Online mode since its inception, which is why it remains stagnant.
Looking forward to some more spaceship MMO's to breath life into this old tired genre.

If the thing that is going to kill EvE is Age of Conan then I can only say, nope it wont.
You may ask yourself how I know this.
Well no other MMO has managed to have a distinct impact on the EvE player base, even WoW in all its inflated glory managed to have any prolonged impact on EvE.
Admittedly AoC is by far a better game than WoW but it is not the same genre as EvE and that is all there is to it.
So what can I know of AoC... smart people will understand how and to the rest I can only say I am not allowed to tell :)
It is a good game, I think it will give WoW a run for their money BUT that aside it does not compete with EvE and thus we will see a dip in "atendance" in EvE for a few weeks and then people will come back for that still unique EvE experience.
