IMHO, mainly becuase anyone can get into a raven and pwn, the others take a little bit of training to perfect whether it is perfecting drone skills, or ECM, or even getting T2 Blasters/Torps/Arties

My vote goes to the Typhoon. Sure the Dominix is great, but the Typhoon being able to use Missles, Drones and Turrets all effectively makes it a very versitile ship. Not to mention that it's also go a lot of speed for a BS. Sadly you need lots of skills to fly it properly, thankfully I already had most the skills I need.

I wear a RNI and love it, but for drones missions the 'elite drone parasite' (dominix) it's a nice oponnent. 4 Guristas BS are not a reason to be worried about, but 4 of that are serious.
Also versatile ship by the bonus to the hybrid for near and drones for far.
If i would have time to think in wear Gallente BS, i would train for it, sure.
And i think the Domi is a nice ship.
However, the char of the Scorpion was right, a cheap ship who jams his opponents. But for combat i would prefer the Raven or the Domi, the Scorpion only as support.

like stated before, every battleship has it's strong point and it's weaknesses. What i can say is: If you want to solo pvp: mega, geddon, abbadon, typhoon, hyperion, domi
if you want to be the gank in a gang: mega, geddon, abbadon, raven, mealstrom, hyperion. If you want to mission: raven, domi If you want to be in a remote rep gang: geddon, typhoon, tempest, dominix, scorp. If you want to be annoying: scorp, domi
The best overal battleships are the geddon, mega, abbadon, hyperion, typhoon or domi. those are my favourites but only because im a pvp'er

Yup, without a doubt. Best thing about the Domi is that it moves with the times in PvP. From crazy tank > Nano > NOS/Neut. To my knowledge everytime the game has been nerfed I can't remember a single thread saying OMFG that's so Sh**, I quit etc etc, my Domi is useless now. Unlike just about every other ship.

you could have a apoc but the pilot only has it at level 1 but then a hyperion with the pilot at level 5
the bonuses would be better to the 5 pilot than the one pilot

Abaddon definatly.
Nowadays in Medium sized bs gangs remote repping and passive armor tanking is the best thing to do.
For these gangs you need alot of armor hp and resistances but no local reps. Abaddon fits this role perfectly above all other bs as it has the resistance bonus.
You also need the ability to hit out far and true or close and hard. Lasers fulfill this great as you can swap crystals at any moment to do the best damage at any range.
Also with the 3 plate 3 trimark setup with no local reps abaddon would dominate in 90% of situations.
The only places where The abaddon is beaten is,
1v1 bs vrs bs where the hyperion (just) beats abaddon because of a extra mid slot and local armor rep bonus.
Sniping - the Rohk also just pulls ahead here because of optimal bonus.
But yeah overall abaddon as the best battleship as nowadays lots of hp and resistances is needed because 90% of fights last under 2 mins and the amount a Local armor repair can do in that time is less than just having Lots and lots of armor hp buffer, hense the resistance bonus and 7 lows really gives the abaddon a huge advantage over the other tier 3 bs.

Quite a lot of people saying domi, very interesting.
For a noob like me it did seem to be the ideal ship for limping into Lv4s. It's cheap and I was able to do my first ones solo at 6 weeks and at 7 weeks felt quite comfortable. It took me forever to kill stuff but I could tank the damage so eventually the ogres and my pea-shooters would whittle it down.
Since then I've abandoned my missioning ways and moved out to 0.0. I have a second domi out there but haven't had an opportunity to really pvp with it yet. Seems like it'll be a good ship for small to mid sized engagements but it also seems like it might lack the focussed strength to do well in large scale stuff, would that be an accurate assessment?

For flexibility I'd say the domi is right up there as it's pretty much the jack of all trades battleship but as others have said, there is no ship that is better than all the others in all areas.
