do not download the source...CCP will track the ip and ban you
do not discuss the leak.. you will get locked and potentially banned

It wasn't 'leaked', someone just ran a decompiler on the .pyc files. Nothing to see here.

honestly, who cares...
99% of the stuff that goes on in game is server side. all pw's and account names are stored server side.
no security issue there...
only thing i could see is someone implanting a key logger into a 'official client' and offering it as a high speed download. but anyone who dl's eve from anywhere but eve-o is asking for it.
Any 5 year old can open up eve files, nothing new...
i'd get over this and fast :P
(p.s. any doomsayers that think open source on the CLIENT side is dangerous, follow the sig)

Well, it made it to SLASHDOT already... guess trying to surpress talks about it would be kind of pointless.
Now, downloading it, or worse, doing something WITH it, that's a completely different story, and that is a BAD thing to do.
IF CCP would indeed be going after people that do that, I couldn't blame them one bit.
