Whats up with the forums? Since 2-3 days they have become so slow that i can run out and mow my lawn while replying to a topic 
Is it just me having this problem or is it a general issue?

It's the exact same things as what Zombie did, you may not attack in "safe-areas" (empire/within sentry range) without loosing your ship.

They are very slow for me as well. Have not been coming for the last couple of days though so wouldn't know about that.
I thought it was connected to the new patch and downloads coming with it.

yep, I have 1800/384 cable connection, and it takes nearly a minute to load a page. Other sites take less than a second. Not to mention, can't even view the forums at all without turning off my firewall.

Pre-patch they were fine, since the patch its been painfully slow, and even EvE-i is taking a battering... come on get the servers sorted I'm stuck at work and dying to do something more intresting that sit and watch a progress bar loading.

maybe it's because of Tranquility going down so often with the new patch release? I think many of those 4-9 thousand players go straight to the forums after downtime.
I'd hate to be there when the forum servers get hit with such a heavy load. It's probably like Star Trek when the ship gets hit by a torpedo.. sparks flying, explosions everywhere, technicians getting killed, etc.

It's been horrible since patch, not really a problem prior.

Everyone logs on because they want to see wtf happened to the game hehe. Besides that its a perfect time to troll the forums for usless information half the time. Then again you might find some great deals on equipment.
