Greetings
This is an ooc announcement related to the Neferis Resort VI "Auctoramentum Gladiatorium" event.
Due to the massive positive feedback from CSM Candidates confirming attendance at the CSM Halls sub-event inside the Auctoramentum, I have decided to split it into this new thread in order to reply to the questions beeing asked to me by the candidates.
So here it goes:
1- When will the event take place?
A: The event will take place on the 27th April. The time for CSM Halls is not yet closed but it will happen somewhere between 19:00 - 22:00 GMT.
2- Where?
A: This is a virtual event. It will happen inside a private channel to which guests will be invited 30 minutes before the start. Also, candidates will be asked to have ventrilo voice comms online. You'll be privately informed about servers etc.
3- Will the event be followed by ISD? ( eve official news )
A: Yes.
4- Will voice comms be recorded?
A: Yes.
5- The Auctoramentum Gladiatorium is set as an IC ( in character event ) Are CSM candidates supposed to be in character?
A: No. The CSM Halls will be an out of character sub-event where CSM candidates will be using the opportunity to communicate with another faction of players and voters. It's considered a sub-event inside the main event.
6- Is there a format or specific agenda to be followed by candidates?
A: Yes. The CSM halls will be set in the following format:
30 minutes for- gathering of candidates inside the main event hall ( opening doors ) and voice comms systems.
CSM halls
10 minutes: Moderator explanation of rules and format of the debate. questions and answers in this regard.
5 minutes/ each candidate - Brief Personal Presentation + candidate main plataform
30 minutes: Questions presented to candidates by the moderator ( The moderator will accept questions from all eve players. Send them in advance to [email protected] ) * don't forget to mention to which candidate *
Candidates will be given maximum 3 minutes to answer the questions directed to them.
30 minutes round table: candidates will be given 1 minute to direct a question to another candidate of their choice. the replier will be given 2 minutes to answer.
30 minutes: Final considerations from moderators and candidates regarding their campaign. PR of web pages, announcements etc.
Closure.
To end, I'd like to say thanks for the CSM candidates and their positive feedback and confirmation of attendance inside the event.
We consider that political debates are exciting and challenging. In a few instances, debates turn the tide of the campaign, tipping the balance towards one candidate or another and it is undeniable the reach these candidates will have with a set of players that perhaps they wouldn't be able to reach in other venues.
I have as an objective inside this event to provide candidates with an opportunity to present their message unfiltered and to our audience.
Your supporters will be counting on a good performance, and your detractors looking for serious blunders.
In short, if you have aditional questions don't hesitate to ask me here. My apologies in advance for the delay on replying your eve-mails or for not accepting private comms sometimes, but an event like this takes a lot of time and efforts to be set in place. Busy times, as we say.

Thanks for putting all this hard work into this. Im looking forward to it!
I will be telling everybody i know to turn up, it should be interesting to listen to, if i know people right!   .
So the whole discussion will be taking place in a private channel, but CSM candidates will be invited to a ventrilo server?

It'll be a pleasure to have you there Mr, welcome.
Please send me a list of your guests in advance if you wish them to be invited to the channel as guests. It's necessary for previous allowance into it.
Regarding you question, yes. Only CSM candidates will be invited to ventrilo. The reason is that we find more efficient to hold this sort of debates using voice comms and without outside interference. Guests will be invited to in game channel as well where they will be welcomed to ask their questions. Moderators will be doing their best to control both relays.
