Edited by: Daelorn on 16/04/2008 17:20:54 Its official; ASUS are complete ******s. So let me tell you my adventure with wonderful ASUS.
First off on Dec. 28th 2007 I ordered all the parts needed for my awesome new computer, including a P5N32-E SLI MoBo.
2 months later, MoBo dies. No big deal, I told myself something would break, and if nothing did it would just be a bonus.
I send MoBo out, get it back over a month later, only to have it die again 3 days later with the same problem. This time I send out my MoBo and BFG 8800GT (To have it looked at).
I get a brand new graphics card around a week later (Took me a few hours via email to get a RMA# from BFG and they never asked any questions), nothing from ASUS. I eventually call ASUS and they say they received my MoBo on March 28th (This call was last Tuesday). They say they will send me out a brand new MoBo next thing in the morning via 2 day air.
Well I should of recieved it on Friday right? Nope! I call ASUS yesterday to get a tracking number, and what do I find? They shipped out my package yesterday. Ok, whatever, I'm over all the other stuff that happened, I get my MoBo back tomorrow.
Today I get my MoBo back! A joyous event indeed! That is...
Until I open the package because what I got was this.
Sure it would be fine, if ASUS sent me ******* INSTRUCTION ON HOW TO FIT A INTEL CPU INTO A AMD SLOT AND IF ALL MY OTHER STUFF WILL WORK WITH IT!
**** you ASUS. **** you.
Ahh well... Today I go out and buy some other company 780i MoBo.
That is all, I feel a little better.

yea asus devices are usually high quality devices...but their support does suck. Other companies like BFG, EVGA pretty much just give you a new item. Asus spends like a month trying to fix it. My friend recently had a problem with his board, and it took a month or so to get the item back.

I've had two Asus motherboards in my life, one was a complete abortion, the second was a dream come true; hit or miss, though I'm very happy with my current P5E-VM HDMI so far, it makes up for the first one. |

Let me tell my my ASUS story. 20 months ago I bought a A6T laptop with 24 months of warenty. Mobo(power supply) died. I mailed them. It was picked up and returned free of charge. 3 weeks without a laptop, but they did fix it = win.

Ive had the same mobo as you for a while and mine has died 3 times. The only thing I blame ASUS for is how they made this friggin board. But their service has been decent.

Wow, they just owned you royally .
Did you call them and ask them where all the legs from your CPU, which the socket expects by the looks of it, have gone? Maybe they can send you extra pins? |
