The point I assumed was pretty simple.
The guy wasted over 20 minutes of my time with No intention to but the item from the start.
I politely tried to ask him about it and he BLOCKED me.
I will try to put it in a good analogy...
You work at a store trying to make needed money, A customer comes into the store saying how he will buy a certain item and Asks you to take it off the shelf for him so no one else can buy it even though other people would of if it was left on the shelf.
You get to the register and the guy walks away for 20 minutes screwing around in the store area. You wait for him while missing other potential sales which in turn hurts your chances to meet your quota of sales needed for the day.
You finally politely say to the guy "excuse me sir are you ready to buy this"
He then looks at you and Runs out the store.
This results in 20 minutes of real life time wasted, missing your sales quote (which in my case was a good poker game I wanted to join)
And im sure in most peoples cases some annoyance or anger.

By the way if you ever worked in a shop or market stall you would know that this happens all the time. People ask you to put an item away, you take it off the shelf and they say they will come back and buy it later but quite a lot of the time they don't bother coming back or when they come back they changed their mind. You then decide not to put any item away for that person again, you may even go as far as saying you won't put any item away for anyone else unless you know and trust the person.

Yes I know it happens a lot, But Would you do business with that person again if it was Your store?
I would personaly tell him to GTFO of my store if he pulled something like that. |

Yes, but would you go to every other store in the city with a picture of the person telling them not to do business with him?

Well, you are in business and the customer is always right. Like I said, no more reservations for that guy but if he wants to purchase something with cash up front I don't see why there would be a problem as some people may have all intention of buying it but they may have difficulty gathering the money for the item or they may have some unexpected bill to pay or something so I wouldn't blame the person too much. Sure they might have made you lose the sale in the time it was off the shelf (I would set a limit like state you can only take it off the shelf for a few days and then it will be back on the shelf for sale again) but it will get sold sooner or later so there's not really that much of a problem and you will make some loyal customers of the ones who actually do come back and buy the item they reserved. But this isn't the same thing that happened to you, you just met an ********, there's lots of them around get used to it.

As silly as this thread is, that's a load of crap! The customer is generally a stupid, annoying and self-serving git. The 'customer' type person, especially those that flaunt the old adage "the customer is always right" will be the first one's up against the wall when the revolution comes.
Hasta Siempre.

Sure, I'll be nice to ya. That lasts until you give my money. When you leave the store you can be sure I'll make fun of everything you are. That's how it is everywhere.
And to be completely honest, the 'customer' normally is really really stupid.

There are several thousand players in EVE and you in your position cannot make a single one responsible for his actions.
And even the greatest morons know that and they will continue to misbehave, wether you complain or not.
That guy shut the door right in front of your face and you keep on bothering because you cannot accept that you lost.
Pointing out that the game was unfair will not either make you win.
If you had moved on and sold your stuff to somebody else you'd be a lucky EVE player by now. But with every further complaint you make your loss bigger and your reputation worse.
*You* are the one who's wasting time.

LoL your analogy is flawed... but it is funny because if this were to happen at your place of employment at least you are getting paid to put up with the grief.

i quote.
"I was about to invest into a poker game that I missed out on because I waited for this guy for 20 minutes..."
So it's very likely he saved you a big loss in a poker game as by looks of it you need help to ties own laces.
I vote you give him the implant for such a good deed, or to me for pointing this out, set a contract please, Amarr be good. |

Funny. I had the same thing happen to me, except it was 50 million that the guy bailed out on. So did I beeeeeyotch and whine and complain? No, I bumped the sell thread and raised the price. Sold it for 55 million the same day. His loss, my gain.
Ya gotta make lemonade, not wine.
Grow up.
