I've recently aquired all the skills to train Large Blaster Specialization, but I'm wondering if its worth training this past lvl 1.
The reason I'm asking is because, is it worth using t2 void for the damage increase you'll get (vs the penalties of the ammo) or is it just better to stick with Faction ammo (therefore, training large blaster spec skill wont increase your damage if you only use faction ammo, as far as I know)

You want to use Tech II turrets because they fire 8-10% faster due to specilization skill. T2 ammo is just a small added bonus. Void is not as usefull as faction ammo. |

Edited by: Nomakai Delateriel on 16/04/2008 18:39:19 The large blaster spec applies to the blaster, not the ammo. As long as you're using T2 large blasters then the skill is providing you with a damage bonus (regardless of the ammo).
EDIT: And for large blasters there are only three types of ammo. Antimatter, faction antimatter and Null. The rest ain't worth loading. |

The large blaster spec skill gives you a %2 damage increase per lvl regardless of what ammo you're using in your t2 large blasters.

Void L isn't that bad. Only DG AM outdamages it and against a webed BS tracking isn't much of an issue. Nevermind you're going to be paying through the nose for DG AM in the first place. Against cruisers your loading null for them more often than not.
As for training the Large Blaster Spec. Take it to IV for sure. |

void is horrendous.
always use faction antimatter.
if you can't afford 1500/unit ammo you shouldn't be pvp'ing in the first place.
