Since it's never too appropriate (or likely to have effect) on fatalising the inbreds of this planet (and being one myself), I will propose such a claim regardless of this community being keen to like it or not.
Admit video games and mmo's do nothing for you that you coudln't already do before and without them, if not better!

This MMO entertains me by providing social interaction in a highly dynamic science fiction setting and allows me to engage in combat in and with a variety of ships from frigates the size of a large aircraft to massive dreadnoughts larger than a Star Destroyer.
How can I do that otherwise? |

Edited by: Shanzem on 17/04/2008 01:03:54 Interesting also how do you recommend that we construct a program that can facilitate a near to real life economy, Source that can provide a stable testing ground for young Economists and entrepreneurs to experiment in a safe and friendly environment while providing entertainment, While showing the effects of supply and demand and the usefulness of social science in a work based environment, players create the corporations within and the supply and demand.
Eve uses a large player base over many continents and many languages, name me another source that has brought Virtually all people from works of life closer, while all aiming for the same goal?

So..what you're saying is, you're willing to be inbred for the greater good of our economic system? Nice one. |

Just remember that you're "inbred" then take a dictionary, learn its definition by heart, and stand back a bit from your own degree of inbred in your life on this planet.
Whoa, so what kind of inbred are we talking Multi generational or immediate family? Source for inbreeding hopefully you will find that source to your liking, if you mean inbred with a predominant British gene i could relate to were your taking this (facial features , traits etc, But then again that comes from our Ancestry. so care to elaborate? |

Edited by: Spafia on 17/04/2008 01:56:25 "Inbreeding is breeding between close relatives."
In other words, inbreeding is the recycling of the same family over and over again, the slaves in the story (us), are the ones from that newly recycled family who believes itself to be in a new one, or to come from an authentic background...
And the topic is still related to the computer gaming/using community, not asian girls, or whatever truth about evolution you might have dug out of some random book.

Inbreeding can also happen over multi generational through different family's, Remember inbreeding is apart of your GENES, you very genome which makes you YOU.
if you have a population of a small town for arguments sake of roughly 100 people, lets call this a settlement, there is 50/50 in male to females, given that no new people come to this settlement, and its left alone for 10 generations then theres is a very high probability that through GENES that your inbred, continuing this trend will over time will show itself in the form of degraded Genomes and genes (why incest is wrong *obliviously you know this* ) this is why bio diversity is such a good thing,
a perfect example of this is traits, some of which you receive through your genes. a example of this is the "geek gene" again *obviously* you know this as well.
all be it your lacking it. |

Interesting maybe we should conduct a research survey into the EVE MMO and see how there IQ, and Genes are diverse from those of other areas? would be interesting to see if Chavs and there culture *all be it you understand culture and stuff like that?* and how there genes are? there already lacking the geek gene *same genome that created people like bill gates and spawned slashdot, oh and the very Internet were communicating on now* better yet how does genes effect your brain, and choices?

just to clarify then it isn't helping your bio diversity unless they move to your country. bringing new Genes or gene pool to your area. -------------------------------------------

Videogames give me that sweet, sweet adrenaline kick you get from engaging in a battle of wits with someone.

Quite simply, MMos make some people realize how big the world is. Many people are cloistered in their little worlds, doing their day to day things. They hear about other places, but it's always "over there" and doesn't have much bearing on them.
MMOs open these people's eyes because they can converse with people of different opinion, culture, ethnicity, etc. They broaden perspectives through allowing people to interact with each other. This aspect of associating with real people also makes the game much more fun. |
