Caeneus	Posted - 2004.04.22 01:16:00 - [1] I have to say, the last couple of days has seen some good communication from CCP. I am well impressed as this was a major criticism regarding Eve. Luckily I was working today for the patch, so i missed most of the problems and it seems to be working fine now. I would just like to say, good luck with the hardware upgrades, if it goes anything like my own upgrades then you will need it! (note CCP have listed the days in which they plan to do said upgrade, I suggest people plan ahead so we don't have a million and one posts eating bandwidth because you are a muppet and didn't sort your skills for patch day!) Can't think of anything witty to put here.

Caeneus	Posted - 2004.04.22 01:45:00 - [6] Yes they are still problems but i'm sure they are working on a solution. No offense but you are complaining about a whole 6 hours? Days yes, but 6 hours. I think you need to get out more. Also i was complementing them about their recent spate of communication, which is a big improvement. I'd much rather have a confirmation that they know there are problems and are being looked into rather than nothing at all. It really amazes me on peoples ability to focus on the negatives and not the any ground gained. Thanks for the heads up about the corp bills, I did not know they were down. I'll have to keep an eye on my labs now. Can't think of anything witty to put here.

olyyy	Posted - 2004.04.22 02:09:00 - [9] Lag was pretty bad... The worse thing was that I couldn't see people I was in war with... NOT nice! That was fixed. Worse was with cruise missiles, it seems I cannot see incoming enemy cruise missiles... cost me 1 Merlin (and almost another one). That was not fixed :s Galaga (Galaxian - XIF corp) And yes, Olyyy is on our KOS list so she enjoys stirring the "flames" ( 2004.05.25 )

While i do not agree with some of CCP 'views' on sertain 'features' in this game i understand CCP have a responsibility to look after their bankaccounts asmuch as they have to look after this community. On the blowing of smoke up their asses however... This is bussines...nothign personal. I'm a paying customer and CCP give me services for my money. If something is amiss then i will sertainly voice my displeasure with that seeying as there has never at any point been anything amiss with my payments. Maybe i'm a tough customer but my views on customer/company relations are fairly rigid and they don't leave much room for fluffy familiarisations. I don't think CCP will cut my any slack should my monthly billing somehow be abstructed just for the sake of my being a good hard working bloke that does his best to provide what i promise ;) Originally by: cashman It's time for Eris to get a clue. fluffle	Posted - 2004.04.22 02:53:00 - [14] oh, stop your whining and go do something useful with your life until eve is running well again. i know it'd be nice to have eve running uber-smooth 23/7/365, but for christs sake, show a little forgiveness... they're working on the problems and have told us so in detail, which is more than could be expected from a great deal of other MMOG developers. you should be thinking of the lag-free play that should come from the planned upgrades, not whining that you couldn't play a game for a few hours. it's not like you're paying a massive amount of money per month anyway. try to think of the bigger picture, rather than the immediate future? i'm sure you have other things you can occupy yourself with, and if you don't that speaks volumes... ... whining like this irritates me, you may have noticed. -- Go Here if my sig looks grey, and next time use a good browser. I, beeing a old beta tester that just recently returned to the game, am starting to have bad flashbacks. I Didnt stay for this very reason, almost a year goes by i get a email and decide to give it a shot afterall i did enjoy the game. So here am now PAYING to play the same old beta, ok yeah new features and somethings work that didnt big deal, as a paying consumer CCP needs to reimburst me for my time that i paid them so i could play a online game. No im not gona threaten to leave ,just yet, but i do excpect agreements to be fulfilled. Oh and i do understand **** happens, especially with a patch being implemented but i also expect ALL precautions are taken in that the down time would be kept to a few hours at most, not 16+ hours.

CCP are fantastic they have regular communication with customers, the game itself (for me at least) is liquid silk. I've been playing now for a little under one month and i can say with one hand on a stack of bibles that i haven't crashed once, not one crash! This game feels like it was well designed and well coded, content is continually added and issues are promptly addressed and patched in order of importance/relevence yet the devs still have the guts to stick to their vision for the game and not give into the whiners. I think they should be congratulated heartily for all their hard work. Well played CCP.

But there we can talk about **** customer service utterly crap censur Here in EVE I get ingame support, nice personal respons from ccp when problems accur maybe some times it can take a day or too days. But then I got a polite Im sorry I could answer you faster letter from cpp. Im in love with ccp and there care of there costumers. most of they game I mention above Im also been voolenter player and with that insight to the gms forums I must say CCP have the best customer support and they care of there costumers very much more then the other mmmorpg corps do and downtime in this line of business isnt a question will it be a downtime its more how long downtime can we est too be Best Regards Malena Miner \| Trader

Well at least I'll be lvl 5 Missile Operation when I get back so I can finally get teh cruise missles baby! But I do have to add: The support, updates on this game are great... I've played a few MMOGs and I have never experienced such great communication with the community, on planetside, the werner server was crap!!! Constantly laggy, the US servers were less laggy than the euro server I played on and that was over 2000 miles away, they didnt do anything about it, I quit 6 months ago and to date they still haven't done anything about it or said anything about it! That in comparison to this, woah :D. Keep it up CCP.
