Please reduce the volume of shuttles to 100m3 so we can atleast carry one shuttle in our cargohold when moving ships around...

Shuttles are only 500m3, you can easily carry that in a battleship or in a cruiser with a few T1 expanded cargoholds. I don't see a problem. ---------------- Tarminic - 34 Million SP in Forum Warfare Play EVE: Downtime Madness v0.81 (Updated 4/8) |

I can fit a bunch in my Bestower. What do you want to do, tote a shuttle around in your Kestrel?

why even use a shuttle. youi can't reprocess them for trit anymore. now there usefullness is along the line of concord. just unboard your noob ship. and trash' it. then fly a pod to your real ship. and leave the trash where it belongs.

How about because it's faster aligning and warping? That alone works for me.

Agreed, it's definitely faster aligning and warping.
ALSO you can warp farther with a shuttle than a n00b ship. (the pod for some reason has some ridiculous range to it too kinda like a shuttle, but the shuttle is faster AND you get the added bonus of having an extra hull that is expendable if you get locked in low sec) ---------- Sig Begins ----------

I'd say it's a fair point consisdering the very small amount of pure tritanium a shuttle is constructed from.

This! Reducing shuttle volume makes it easier to stock stations without factories. If the volume would be 100m3 then we could get 100 shuttles in 10k hauler, which sounds somewhat reasonable amount. |

I personally think it is a matter of logic. If a shuttle takes such a little amount of Tritanium to produce why make it so volumous in its packaged form?
Doesn't make sense to me.
As I see it every cruiser (and up) class ships should be able to haul at least one shuttle without the need for cargo hold expanders mods fitted in. |

Maybe all ships bigger than friggs could have shuttle bay added, to carry one shuttle without occupying real cargo bay? |

Just fly in your pod, it aligns faster than anything int he game anyway, though it is a little sluggish in warp.... |

Interesting you said that because I've actually been giving some thought on that lately. In fact, I'm thinking of starting a thread on this subject in the "Feature & Ideas" forum.
I agree. In every sci-fi movie/series I've seen so far, ships of a certain class (usually cruisers/battlecruisers and up) have at least one shuttle bay where a shuttle-class ship can be docked. I don't see any reasons why the same feature could not be brought into EVE, especially so since many respectable sci-fi authors seem to share the same view. |

a pod insta warps...its better than a shuttle, granted only really safe for manual flight though. |

I agree. I think that the ability to carry a shuttle is normal for craft above a certain class. (I am not going to say what class, as that is for others to do.) |

Flyin in shuttle gives you space for one mistake. |

Maybe because it doesn't need to align, there is no bow or stern which is obvious by the tumbling action of a pod in warp. If you have several jumps in small range (<20au) it gets you to your destination faster than a shuttle anyway.

So your point (as that of others in this thread) is nerf the shuttle; who needs shuttles anyway when you've got your pod?
