Looks like there are problems with autopatcher. If autopatching fails, it looks like a best bet to compleatly uninstall EVE and freshly install it from CD or internet distribution. After that manually download apropriate patch from Patch site and install it.
Now, when you try to start game you come to splash screen and then nothing, game just won't start. In debug log I found out that there are some Python scripts that should be installed in EVE/scripts/common/sys/ directory, but that directory is apart from one TXT file empty. Copy all "*.py" files and "strings.txt" file from EVE/scripts/sys/ directory to EVE/scripts/common/sys/
This should let you start the game now. "Jebi ga", catchy phrase. |

This small fix didn't help you get past splash screen or you're having black screen problems? This fix only solve loading up the game.
Did you UNINSTALL the game in case autopatcher failed or you just patch the game until the patcher finaly succeeded? "Jebi ga", catchy phrase. |

Hi thx Thorus I did as you said and now its working. I get to the login page and the game starts as it should. Now i just worry how this fix will screw me at later date. I suggest you look around the patch review forum and others(i am too lazy) and tell about you fix, there are others with this problem.
And again thx

Tried this myself as well. Just reactivated my account and had to do an install again. I patch up and get a quick flash and then nothing. A friend tried this and it worked I try it and no luck.

When you are asked to replace the index file click no. I clicked yes the first time and it didn't work. I replaced the index file with that of a friends and it worked (he didn't replace it so had the original).

No joy for me either with the suggested fix. Still only getting a splash screen before the client locks.

There should be no problems with it, all we did is copy few Python scripts to empty directory (except index.txt!). Looks like devs changed the location with one patch and probably forgot about it. I expect that they will correct this with next patch. I wouldn't say that this was a big blunder, with a project this big, errors like this can and do happen to everyone. "Jebi ga", catchy phrase. |

I downloaded the patch manually, ran it and it seems to be working fine this way. Is there something I should have done or will I be okay by doing a manual patch?
