My initial reaction is that there is nothing 'wrong' with this per say. As long as you are only reading the logserver logfiles not the raw log server output. As these files can be delayed in writing, or if you want an immediate write then it takes up more cpu and disk IO that is your call.
Please do not take this as CCP approval, but I will go ask the appropriate people and get you a definitive answer.

I dont think this thread is going to be locked/deleted because the tool has the stamp of approval of the GM's.
That being said, I am going to have to give it a try this weekend and see how well it works. |

When I first looked at the info for this tool I immediately assumed 'this is not allowed'. However, I continued reading and saw the link to the GM validation of the tool, unlike the poster above who stopped reading the bacon page and immediately came back and posted their little 'IBTL' statment. |

Silly pie rat, this offers no information players couldn't get from local reasonably quickly. It's a convenience, not a new tool as such.
