Sure enough after only a few systems I find some one in a system by herself. I start sweeping the belts only to notice that she left local. I head to the next system to find her again. After doing another sweep of the belts I find her ratting. I start heading towards her and quickly lock and scram her. While working on her armour I open a private convo offering to stop for a fee. After a the ransom demand goes unpaid and keeping her armour repper on I continue to finish the job... But wait.. something isn't right... She's moving in the opposite direction I'm in and my scram only goes to 7.5km! She breaks free of my scram and decided to gloat about it. Much to her dismay, I caught up before she was able to get away. Her ship soon goes pop. As I hope I don't lag when her ship goes, I happened to be blessed to real no lag and quickly lock and scram her pod and offer a ransom. The ransom fails and the pod soon goes pop. By now my hands were shaking in excitement and even though I didn't get paid, it was still fun.

Keep on yarrin, pirates are thirsty and there is PLENTY of tears to go around so "Drink up me hearties- yo ho !" Reminds me of my first t2 fitted drake kill. Was hunting in hakonen and zero in on a drake in a belt, I warp there in my BS and lock the drake. I beging smashing his shields down (this was before the well known drake 'infini tank') but he's walking away from me after burner fitted. Once he's out of scram range, I think crap he got away. But alas he was shooting me and NOT the dire gurista who had him also warp scrammed ! long story short: he goes pop and drops lots from his complete t2 fitted drake. Yeah good times.

You got missles on that thing for a reason. Range. You don't need to get that up close and personal unless you have to web something. If I was in a Hawk I'd try and stay around 15-18km away so I wouldn't be the one getting webbed.

Corstaad Minmatar Vardr ok Lidskjalv	Posted - 2008.04.18 23:28:00 - [11] Honestly there a crapload of people with stabs on keep the two point. Hawks DPS gets worse with range and dps is your problem. Its a nice kill get close speed, tanking will not work against anyone thats pvp'd before.

I fly a rocket hawk (Standards suck tbh) with a 9k scram... or 2x 9k scrams, and even 1x 24k, 1x 9k depending on the situation Get a cheap Dread Guristas scram or a T2 scram for that little extra range if you don't mind chancing being webbed... go with the 20k if it really worries you that much though ------------ Originally by: CCP Mitnal It's great being a puppetmaster
