Hi,
today, i've been shooted by Amarr Civil Service in Sarum Prime (1.0) with a security status > than -.2.0 (-1.96) and a good standing with all amarr corporation / amarr faction. (all > 1.0)
My badger was transporting lot of modules / components (> 150M ISK at Jita's price). I want to understand why i've been shooted by Amarr NPC and if someone got the same issue... i think it's a bug but i'm not sure :s

-1.96 got rounded up. It happen to me in my ratting proteus petition it. I got my ship back minus what was looted. |

Trading a single rifter for the ability to scoop that loot is not a bad deal.
Also, the isk win/loss ratio would be very good.

Little question : did you rat before ?
Protip from a C+Pirate : your ss is not really updated until you log off.
Kill a few NPC bs, get over -2.00 (-1,98 is fine and not "round up" or anything, I tried it), log off, log in, welcome back to highsec.

This seems to be somewhat true. I regularly bounce in and out of the ability to enter certain sec levels. After ratting up from say -3 to -1.98 if i fly through a 0.9 in my pod i will still see the criminal message. If I relog I am able to enter 0.9 happily. On the other hand if I overshoot some way, say rat up to -1.7 then i can get into 0.9 with no problems without having to relog, it only seems to effect me within 0.1 sec of what i need, which would point to the sec being rounded up if you dont relog.
So I would amend the statement to say "your ss is not really updated accurately until you log off."
This is only my experience of the last few months, I have no idea of the actual mathematics or formula around it all. |

*edited, was tired and wrote 0.9 instead of 1.0, fixed. In one of my attempt, I waited 3 hours before trying to get back in highsec. My poor&lovely&gentle dominix made it in structure.

Yup for future reference, log off, log back on, sec status will be treated properly after ratting.
Petition and you'll get all modules that weren't dropped/ship reimbursed. Has happened to me and a corpie, annoying as hell, and usually an expensive lesson to learn. |
