yerpaw Minmatar Miners-R-us Solaris Consortium	Posted - 2008.04.19 13:56:00 - [1] Hey, i'm looking for some advice. I started off cross training to caldari ships (I'm minmitar) after some avice from a friend when I first started playing. I've become a bit bored of them and started training again for minmitar ships as they seem much more fun and more suitible for pvp (which i would like to get into). I'm at a level now where I could do with moving on to level 4 missions (I'm at something like 9 for effective standing with my lvl 3 agent) but I have no idea which minmitar battleship is best to go for for doing missions. Any information/advice you can give would be great. Cheers

Also train sentry drones. they add a surprising amount of dps. I've not yet found a Minmatar ship which beats a Raven for NPCing. I would like someone to correct me on this though?

Typhoon can be great later on, but need loads and loads of skillpoints to function properly. If you are in it for ISK, you better stick to your caldari side and get a Raven or one of its derivates. Aside from the high end phoon, Minmatar ships are pretty much the worst L4 mission ships in game due to the poor dps on artilleries. You want ME for the CSM! AstroPhobic Minmatar	Posted - 2008.04.19 15:53:00 - [6] All of your minmatar ships will be subpar for missions. If you are intent on using one though, I'd head down the maelstrom path. If you can separate PvE and PvP fun, I'd go back to caldari to make isk and pvp with minmatar.

Basically correct, though depends what your goal is and what you mean by "npc-ing." I can see an amarr BS or a Domi being much better if all you want is an alt in some quiet 0.0 pocket system to rat for days on end. I say amarr and Domi because their dps doesn't require ammo, while to do the same thing as a raven pilot, you will eventually run out of ammo. === In Eve, never bring a knife to a knife fight.
Mon Maures Minmatar THE-DARK-WHEEL	Posted - 2008.04.20 00:47:00 - [8] Well I run lvl4's in a tempest - solo - and it does very nicely. I do run a T2 setup and i'm sure there are better/quicker mission ships and setups but the main thing is to know your skill limitations and the ship limitations. There are a couple of lvl4's I just won't run solo because the risk and dammage is too great. The typhoon is a good ship, v.versitle and a good pvp ship but needs alot of skills to be effective (drones, projectiles + missile skills) Most ppl think the Raven is the best mission ship - i've never flown one so I can't comment but the skill requirements aren't as high and it has a nice shield tank + the ability to change dammage types. The fortunes of war, i'll tell you plain, is a wooden leg or a golden chain.
