Which is the better pvp ship for solo work if u have max skills? 1v1 which one would come out on top ? would geddon have problems tracking harbinger?

A megapulse geddon would annihilate the harbinger.
The harbinger would possibly win against a tachyon geddon.
Neither ship is especially brilliant at solo pvp, however I would go for the geddon. Its very cheap to fit out and does a lot of dps!

Geddon would tear Harbinger apart in 1vs1 very likely, but Harbinger is better solo ship. Faster locking, 4 mids and more maneuverability/speed than Geddon. Also in gang if you have gang mod/mindlink skills your Harby can be very valuable addition.

The geddon does between 25 to 33 % more damage depending on range speed and signature. In a duel, the geddon would most probably win, if both are equally fitted.
In all honesty, all the tier 1 BS own the tier 2 BCs while they only cost a little more.

Some myrms can beat domi's depending on fit (for instance a passive myrm against a neut domi).

The only Harbinger that has a shot in hell of killing my geddon solo is a nanoed, tracking disruptoring, ECCM Harbinger. So no Harbinger will kill my geddon 1v1. Besides, my geddon isn't solo much anyway.

The harbinger is a good BC. The geddon is a battleship. There should be no confusion.
The harbinger has 4 mid slots, to the geddons 3. Of the two it is the more viable solo ship. Though both are more suited to a gang. |

My Harbinger took out a fail fit Domi a few weeks ago. It was a fail fit Domi with nothing in the highs though. I webbed and popped all her drones and she had zero DPS after that. So a Tier 2 BC CAN take out a poorly fit Tier 1 BS.

You can always shred suboptimal fits in very highly skilled Tier 2 BCs.
I mean, I killed a Raven using a semi-gank fit with cruises on top (2x bcus plus cruises is a waste really, but I dont mind, arby cruises are always good loot) but he had a tank which involved a large shield booster and 3 LSE IIs + dcu II + spr II + pdu II which is rather bad vs a Hurricane.
I wasn't even using RF EMP M for some reason (loaded T1, stupid, yeah). Gank-fit platecane can be lovely sometimes, it's just utter fail for sentry work and handles somewhat too badly for my taste.

I can kill a domi that doesn't shoot back in a T1 frigate, that does not say anything about the combat abilities of the ships.
To the OP: First learn the differences between a BC and a BS before you fly them. If you don't know these simple facts you will fail at PvP, I'm sorry to say. Get out there first in smaller ships that you can afford to lose. Once you have a good grasp of basic concepts you can upgrade to a larger ship.

it really comes down to who has the skills and how the geddon or harbinger is hardened. I have seen several times a haringer take a geddon to deep structure before the harbinger pops. -------------

But really. Comparing the Harbinger vs the Geddon by having them slugging it out is just the worst way ever.
The Armageddon specialty...delivering DPS to slow, large sig targets at 48km or closer. Harbinger. Yep. Slow and featuring a large sig.
The harbinger has other things going for it though. Greater efficiency vs smaller targets, a forgiving PG/CPU, greater mobility and 4 mids for more utility. Also it doesn't rely as much on its teammates to be efficient as the armageddon does.
I MIGHT consider taking a Harbinger out alone or with a bunch of people I haven't fought with before. Would never dream of doing so with an Armageddon. ______________________________________________ -You can never earn my respect, only lose it. It's actually more like 650-800 and 1100-1200, disregarding implants.
Max skilled geddon, 3x HS, 5x ogre IIs, 7x MP II, navy MF = 1172 dps. Max skilled harbinger, 3x HS, 5x HH II, 7x HP II, navy MF = 760 dps.
The geddon hits harder to be sure, but it does not hit twice as hard. (Geddon may also have problems given that the sig radius of its guns is significantly greater than the sig radius of the harbinger - 400 v. 265, MWD off)

Sure it's possible to kill something normally out of your league but then it would have to be unfair in some other way, like the BS pilot being very low skilled and/or flying a comedy fit.
But otherwise it's like talking about killing a BC in a cruiser, which isn't going to happen UNLESS we have the same low skill/comedy fit situation as above.

harbinger is one of the best bc's it can take out the drake easy if rigth fitted. the harbinger has good tank and good DPS but the geddon has a bad DPS if you compare it oan apoc or abaddon but the best thingwith the geddon is that it has 8 lows and can tank really hard so if you succes perma tank 5 other bs your the man but this is the fact: geddon= awsome in gangs and feets, bad in solo harbinger=good in gangs/fleets but is awsome in solo pvp Ceo of the Poision Flet |

are you kidding me? the geddon has bad dps? I'd say 1100 dps with good skills is quite ok, it'll out-dps the apoc and the abaddon.
And I'm not so sure the harb will pick off a nicely fit drake so easily. Sure it has great gank - if you disregard tank.

As I'm sure you've heard given the vernacular, the Geddon is a lot better at putting out vast amounts of damage than tanking. The 8 low slots mean you still have 5 to play with after putting on 3 HS IIs - which would generally go for a plated buffer tank as this gives you a good ability to soak up incoming without compromising your own damage output. If you really want the ability to tank at the same time, then look at the bonuses on the Abaddon. It will do roughly the same damage as a Geddon (has 10 effective turrets instead of 9.33, but cannot field 5 heavy drones) but gets a resistance bonus rather than a cap bonus. However, it does lack a low slot on the Geddon, so if it fits 3 heatsinks it's got one less tank mod and the 25% resistance bonus from ship bonuses (at max skills) is equivalent to the 25% lost from resistances from an EANM (at max skills). So if you're prizing tank above all, the Abaddon can sort you out, but otherwise it's not actually that much more performant than its Tier 1 brother (though the extra mid can be very very nice). All in all the Geddon is pretty exceptional for a tier 1 battleship.
And of course, both the Geddon and Abaddon have much better damage than the Apoc, which gets no damage bonus to its turrets. The Apoc does have a role, but only if you're taking advantage of its range bonus (either out-and-out sniping, or Megapulse + Scorch reaching to 60km + any bonuses from range mods).
