I'm looking for a kestrel pvp setup for small gang / solo pvp. It would also be helpful to put this thread in the ships and modules sticky as an updated resource for the kestrel. Any feedback appreciated :)

mids
shield extenders

Thats small gang pvp for you 
In all actuality, i would probably fit it like so:
rocket launcher II's
mwd, web, scram (how many mids again?)
plate/buffer
the idea being get a point/web on your target, and living for the damage to show up.

My Small gang set up doesn't web and will take some fitting skill. I leave webbing to my rifter or incurses flying buddies.

IIRC, mine is:
x4 Missile Launchers
x1 AB
x1 Target Painter
x1 EM Resistance Amplifier/(1)Shield Extender/(2)Sensor Booster(Targeting Speed)
x1 Micro Aux Power Core
x1 Ballistic Control Unit/(1)Power Diagnostic System/(2)Signal Amplifier
With this setup you can do damage from afar (20km to 25km) while your buddies get in close. If you want to be a pod killer, use the Sensor modules or load some FOF Missiles. If you want to go real cheap, don't use the BCU.
