how many skillpoints do you have in engineering, elecs, gunnery, drones, mechanics, missile launcher ops, navigation and ship command? What BS skills do you have. What are you planning to do exactly?

The Dominix is the best by far because as soon as the enemy see it they laugh so hard they pass out leaving you free to kill them.

I'd have to agree with Zap there. Dominix is cheap and a good first battleship. It's a good miner and a nice NPC hunter. I wouldn't take it out for PVP though except as a blasterix (drones/blasters).

Id say the Tempest is the best all rounder only because thats all i can fly :) And with BS 5 and Large Proj 5 u can do some nice Dmge

tbh for antying carebearish arma is a good 1st ship choice, but anything PvP related its either phoon or scorp.

the dominix is your best choice for your first battleship, its cheap, got cheap insurance, it is very flexible, it got the abillity to make both an exellent shield tank and armour tank, works good for mining aswell for npc hunting.
and i dont angree whit the people who says the dom sucks for PvP, it is exellent for Pvp, however it is strickly a short range combat ship, dont think about fitting 425mm's on it. a combination of blasters and the huge dronebay makes it deadly in close combat

Dominix doesn't suck.
6 electron blasters (old name dual heavy), MWD, web, scrambler, cap booster, sensor booster, armor tank and damage mods.

Dominix.. you can start a house party in the drone bay... its flippin' huge. Lord Zap also has a good point about how funny the domi looks :P
My first Battleship was an Armageddon.. arguably the best looking battleship in the game. It lends well for fitting stuff, has excellent cap recharge capabilities, has a drone bay that is just the right size (10 heavy drones, perfect fit for max skill) and can sustain quite some damage. But like an Apoc, Amarr ships arent the first choice for 100% pvp.
