Who would be interested in an eve meet in Aberdeen?
That would be the one in Scotland with the cheap booze the gulls that try and mug drunks.
We could meet up over a few pints and share war stories and stuff. I know of a few eve players in the area some i have flown with others just oflk i know who were amazed other people in the city played eve.

Im living in Peterhead, so I'd be up for it. I know a few others in the area, I'll be sure to spam their mailboxes relentlessly until they sign up for it too.
Got any dates/venues in mind? Or is this going to be one of those "Meet me here and go in a pubcrawl" kind of events? Either way, I'll attend providing I can get the weekend off.. I've been itching to have a night out in Aberdeen

I was thinking of kicking the night of in Archibald Simpsons cos o the cheap food and booze. The lack of music in there is also a bonus as folk can be quite picky about the patterns of noise they like. Then i guess we could head up union street towards the grill for whiskys perhaps popping into the prince o wales.
I;m free other thn this weekend pretty much every weekend till next month.

Well, personally I'd suggest having it roughly the first weekend of the month, that way you're sure plenty of people have been paid. Normally, I'd not be fussy, but May/Junes a bad time for me (My shops very short staffed just now, and Im supposed to be in Perth on Sun 1st June) Although, I'd defo be up for it on Saturday 5th of July (this also gives plenty of notice for folks)
If you can decide on a definate date/time/venue.. I'll sign up for sure, (and I know a corpmate who'd need pestering till he signs up!)

5th of july sounds good all we need to come up with is a time. Since the first person to express interest will be travelling from Peterhead and has a shop im asuming shops sstill cloes about 1700 there. Would 1930 leave you enough time to get to Aberdeen? I think we should stay there at least until 2100 by then we will be well lubricated enough to tank the neds on Union street :p

I'm just reminiscing on past memories of watching some quite amusing ganks during my teenage years outside zanres in Peterhead. The funniest one involved someone trying to steal someone taxi after the guy had been a gentleman and opend the back dor for his wife. The taxi nabber was unceremoniously dumped on his arse on the pavement wondering what had just happened and the police were too distracted by what the spill out from drummonds was getting up to to notice.

Shop actually closes at 9.30pm. However, given the length of notice we're working with here, it shouldn't be too much work to arrange it as my weekend off. (Providing a low flying deer doesn't cause a road accident, leaving me short staffed again)
Other than that, date/time sounds good to me. It also leaves plenty of time for others get arrange transport/accomodation etc for those who live further afield. Only thing we're missing, is a venue. The one in Glasgow in feb worked well (private function room with its own bar, which opened to public later on I believe. Someone brought over mp3 players and that kinda nulled out that annoying ambience you'll only ever experience in a JD-Weatherspoons!
Im not overly familiar with Aberdeen, as I've only been in this area for a few months, but if you're needing any help, feel free to contact me in game, and I'll help you out as much as I can to arrange this gig.

Hurrah! My request's in for time off on the 5th. The cheap beer's definitely a bonus - I think they do a featured ale each week at a reduced price, something like that. It's a wetherspoons pub so I expect they all have the same kind of promotion. Also, we have bottles made of actual glass in the Granite City

So, anyone decided on a venue yet? I don't know aberdeen that well, so I'll just be following the crowd. From what I've read thus far, Archibald simpsons seemed the most popular, so I'd assume it makes sense for it to be there.
Also, because the pubs open to the general public (unlike the start of the Glasgow meet, which was reserved for eve-players to begin with), I dont mind passing out my phone number to anyone coming along on the day. Contact me in game and we can sort something out. Just as long as you phone me, because I dont get free texts!
Anyhoo. Looking forward to this one, not had a great ****up since, well.. The Glasgow meet in Feb
