Enough were doing this. I fully expect the remaining seeded orders, mostly noob gear, to be made non reprocessale (and possibly therefore removed from loot tables).
The situation is actually quite serious. The shortage in tritanium is so severe that it is preventing the other minerals from being consumed, because the production runs that consume them also consume a huge amount of trit. Trit is really the foundation of all manufacturing. That is the reason it is currently not attractive to mine Omber or Pyroxeres. Ores like Isogen and Zydrine are hardly used up anymore due to the shortage in Trit, causing their prices to plummet while the price for trit remains maxed. Only by allowing the market to do its work, letting trit prices rise to high that people will massively pick up their retrievers and mining cruisers until the trit market becomes saturated again, can this discrepancy be restored. And eventually it will. Simple market movement mechanics.
I don't think its possible to get that much tritanium out of the current system. They will have to increase its mining yield and increase its regeneration in order to supply the markets. Folks think I'm kidding but prices if Tritanium continues to rise unabated for everything could be double or triple what it is today within 2 months.

Allright i think i get it... people where mining other stuff than veldspar because they could get their trit from reprocess shuttles becuase they where so cheap.
Now the price of trit is going tro the roof cause shuttle prices are going way up. But will this not lead to more people mining veldspar? Would that not balance the game in a few weeks/months?

You are forgetting 2 things:
Mining is at the moment so unpopular as a profession, there are huge veldspar roids going neglected as soon as you leave the crowded Caldari noob space. There is still plenty of veldspar in belts to go a long way to recover the shortage. Once that's depleted too, CCP might consider changing the ore regeneration rates to make more supply available. As it is, there is enough.
Also, just about every kill mission comes with a sizable pocket of mineable veldspar asteroids. This makes Veldspar effectively an infinete supply to a corp willing to organize their mining operations around a group of mission runners focussing on opening up harvestable fields. Especially level 1 missions like Rogue drone infestation and Unauthorized military pressence are good in this regard. The rats are trivially easy to clear out, leaving a lot of veld to be picked up.
We are not talking about Omber or a low sec ore here. We are talking about the most common ore in the game, which has a literally inexhaustible supply to the dedicated miner. If people put in the effort, they will swamp the market regardless of how overmined the high sec belts are. All that is really preventing this from happening is the gap that still remains between the profitability of missioning and salvaging, and dedicated mining. And THAT is something that a price explosion will cure in really short order once it becomes severe enough.

I wasn't thinking of the mission veld, but I still don't think there are enough people willing to mine to pull out enough tritanium and other minerals especially with groups like Goonswarm suiciding exhumers in high sec.

And that, my friend, the willingness to undertake that activity full time, is directly a function of the expected reward, which is controlled by the price of the mineral. Once it gets high enough, you can be sure people will become willing enough to risk goonswarm or even form pacts to ward them off (not to mention rumor has it goons target primarily ice miners. Not asteroid miners).

The price tritanium going to at the moment, would that not be the true value of tritanium because the NPC's were selling shuttles under the price so they artifically kept the price of trit down. Becuase they stopped selling, the price of trit will evolve to it's true value. |

No, because other modules will limit the price. |

I'm not so sure. If things cost 2 to 3 times as much as it did before, even if you sell the 8 isk tritanium you aren't really making that much more than you are now as a miner. As long as you can keep from dying you can make some, but down here in Matari Republic its hard to find a good belt these days at least in this area of it, I've not been to Molden Heath in a while.
On the bright side if the minerals do get that high and prices get that high insurance becomes practically worthless which should affect the suiciders.
The problem is that to many people find mining boring, and those that find it boring more often than not take great pleasure in preying upon the miners. What you might see develop is a shortage of tritanium for the large alliances, and a stopping of the building of capital ships. I know some small time miners who have sold minerals before but most are holding onto it today to meet their needs as the rocks are kinda small for them even 10 jumps out in hi sec. Lo Sec is swarming with Goons around here and other pirates making it hard to even get into some days. There's an Onyx that camps one of the Frulugur gates.
Anyway, this I think is going to cause more damage than good in the short term, long term it might sort itself out but it might mean an adjustment on how people war.

one factor that i have noticed that could also bump price is that veld roids are getting smaller a month ago i would expect a dense veld to hold between 50k-100k units, where as now cerntanly in my system they are closer to 20-30k units just after DT
has any one else found this

NO SHUTTLES in RENYN. THE TRADE HUB RENYN.
Total BS. and this is like WEEKS after the change.

It takes 100 minutes to manufacture a shuttle. 100 minutes. and you make what.... 10,000 isk? WHY? WHY DOES CCP want me running around in a pod? -- You can't do that with a Planet. |

The last shuttles I built and got on market where grabbed by resellers :(.
I made more than 10k a shuttle though :).
I have more shuttles should come out today I'll see what I can do :)

I know we can't really say "/signed" anymore, so: "yeah!".
And looking back, it was a horrible, horrible waste of time and ISK to be honest. People swore me off buying it, but I went ahead and did it. I did it both because I could and because I also wanted to see if it had any saving graces. It didn't, heh. At least I then got to be one of those people swearing other people off it.
I still remember typing horrified little messages into the chat channel of the first corp I joined with that character: "It has no cap, no cap! I'm in high-sec, this isn't a huge system ... and I need a breather just to get to the first belt!"
I wasn't actually aware NPC's sold them though.
