i recently invented cargohold 2, the blue print says 10 runs, max production 100. But when i come to manufacture the items it only asks for the number of runs not the product qty. so i ended up with 10 cargohold from 10 runs :-( Can someone please point out what i have done wrong. thx

Edited by: Kazuo Ishiguro on 22/04/2008 11:05:55 When you're looking at a BPC, there are two numbers of interest:
Licensed Production Runs Remaining: the # of runs you can build from this BPC before it disappears.
Production Limit: the maximum number of runs it's possible to have on a BPC of this type.
Note that if you have a BPO, you can build as many items as you like from it in one run, regardless of the production limit, as long as the total time required is no more than 30 days. My research services Spreadsheets: Top speed calculation - Halo Implant stats |

haven't done anything wrong, thats just about it :)
equipment items on invented T2 bpc have a max of 10 runs, if you use max run T1 bpc. the max production stat is "just there" from the original T1 bpc.

Production limit is only for working out the maxium possible number of runs you can create a BPC with.
The number of runs you will get when inventing is roundedDown(((inputBPCRuns/T1ProductionLimit) * (T2ProductionLimit/10)) + decryptor runs)
With the exception that the maxium you can possibly get is the T2 production limit, and the minimum is 1.
The Licensed Runs Remaining is how many you ACTUALLY have, and the number that each runs builds is listed in the info (usually 'builds [1]' but for ammo it could be builds [5000] or 4 or something different, ships and modules are pretty much always 1 per run though.
So you did nothing wrong, 10 runs = 10 expanded cargoholds. There was recently a bug with those where old BPCs (1000 runs) would give 100 runs at the new production limit (which was also mistakenly set to 1000 for T2). They fixed this, old BPCs will still give 33 runs though. So until people's supply of these dies down (may have already not sure) then it's possibly not the most proiftable thing to invent anyway. (haven't checked exactly though).
