Cros	Posted - 2004.04.23 14:26:00 - [1] I doubt this will get posted, just because seeing ones compition being posted old or not is still a small kick in the nuts. But, the truth in the server problems for EVE is the mass amount of Earth & Beyond members that flooded them. Since E&B's fall, I know for a fact that EVE servers have had more than doubled the members hit all at once and they where not ready for such a mass to hit them. I wish they would stop beating around the bush about much needed hardware updates and give credit for problems that the server has just recently been overloaded and not at all ready for the impact they received from E&B refugees.

We're not blaming you, and I'm quite sure the majority of people here want more players to join, E&B fugees included. It is just that, with the current (previous, as of an hour ago) server setup, nobody was prepared for such a big influx of players. E&B players coming to EVE is a good thing, but had one side effect that would have happened eventually, E&B or not.

To date, they're the best MMORPG company I've seen, with frequent dev blogs and updates and they keep us well-informed. Compared to some of the other games I've seen, this is a godsend. I suppose it's just human nature to complain though, even if given nothing to complain about they'll find something to nitpick on. I just wish those people would go play another game.

Everyone is well aware that there has been a massive rise in numbers recently in EVE so telling us now is pretty much useless information! And in regards to Beating about the bush with the hardware problems it will take hardware upgrades to solve the current problems (sunday night lagfest) how else are they gonna sort it out please let us know seeing as u know the TRUTH!

I wish Eve and CCP was always like that! When I joined EVE 11 months and some days ago, it was very unfinished. I find myself almost trained to expect less from CCP now. I quit EVE for 7 months, and decided to try it again just the other day. So far I must admit, I can see why the newer players are having such a blast now. Even though the game still has some glaringly thin elements to it, it's a lot more fun and involved. All these new skills to learn and try out. In fact EVE is a LOT more like what we old timers had been promised back durring the days of NDA before the game was released. Anyway I am actually very happy CCP has the need to upgrade the servers. It means there is hope for this old girl we call EVE yet... Hell to be brutaly honest, I feel sorry for the EnB people, I'm sorry thier game had to die... But I hate to say it, but EnB looked awful anyway, EVE even with all it's flaws is ten times the game EnB looked to be. And even though I never played EnB, I'm an old fart of a gamer, and I just knew EnB wouldn't be my kind of game. Pfffttt... Flaming alien space skulls... Anyway Welcome EnB Players I'm happy to have you around!
