Nowhere I can see is taking pre-orders, that stand a chance of being fulfilled, on GTA 4 any more for the 360.
How difficult is it to print a load more DVD's before launch?
Are they trying to be clever and make people want it even more?
Have they not heard of piracy?
Thats all thats going to happen, though I won't as I'm a good boy, people who may not normally download a pirated game may download it because of this ********ed release.
My only hope is a shop in town has it but that means paying full price

go to the less likely choices. supermarkets that sell games, generally dont take preorders, so get there launch morning, and you have a good chance.
but really, why did you not preorder it months ago? doesnt cost a penny :P |

or download it cause it was released to the "scene" at 11:30am GMT today a hole 6 days before release w00t w00t btw its very good :P

Will be getting it on the PS3 :D when it comes out, haven't pre ordered (cause i have lots on this weekend) but im sure i will be able to get a copy.

I know it sounds bad, but Wal-Mart usually has games when others are sold out.

Depending on how bad you want it... I pre order the hot games from ebgames.com
They ship it to you on release day and you will get a copy. If you have money to blow you can get the overnight selivery (*Edit: kinda like delivery  ) and have it the next day.
Worked for me for GTA 3, Halo 2 & 3
