Could this not totally destroy MC's reputation as a feared fighting force?
H74 was invaded by BoB and friends Thursday at around 1800 EVE. Their towers came out of reinforced Saturday night/Sunday morning between 0030 and 0230(ish). There was absolutely no defence from MC on one of their major systems? Major enough they build up the sov so they can drop a Cyno Jammer. Odyssey committed horrendous insurance fraud undocking from the station in quite a few BS, some without fittings, and have been reported to the relevant authorities  .
But no defence from MC though they had from Thursday evening to arrange it. Oh there was a Goon fleet of around 75 not too far away but they bailed and heaed back to 319 an hour or so before the first tower came out. There were reports that RA were going to show as MC had set them, and Goons, to blue in an attempt to defend H74 but of course they knew they couldn't massively out number the BoB and friends cap fleet with theior cap fleet so they didn't bother showing.
So after an uneventful tower bashing few hours we went to 1-N. Now MC were told in H74 local that from at least Friday onwards that BoB and friends were headed to 1-N on Thursday this coming week. This wasn't bull****, but an attempt to actually get a fight. Of course it failed miserably. After the yawn fest last night in H74, Molle took us all to 1-N and the BS took down the Cyno Jammer, a very nicely defended PoS and I did think I was going to lose my BS at one point  (I wouldn't have minded too much as I was knackered and wanted to goto bed) but the damn heroic Logistic pilots saved the day once again.
After the Jammer went down the caps jumped in, a silly amount for the time of Euro morning tbh, and got to work on the towers. Now the thing that got me was when it was said there were only 6 towers in 1-N. OK I'm no expert, no really I'm not, but with the advanced notice I was expecting a few more towers than that.
Back to my original question. Could this not totally destroy MC's reputation as a feared fighting force? Well if they are not bothered about defending their home systems and let an invading force do what they want, then why would anyone employ them again as Merc's?
Thier reputation took a huge dip after backstabbing BoB, yes I know they were Merc's but even Merc's need friends tbh, and now they don't even fight to defend their home(s).
Damn shame tbh. MC were my heroes early on in my EVE life
