IIRC it wasn't "refuted" so much as they determined that it was a minor enough breach of the NDA that they could let him off with a warning. You know, you have to give a kid a chance once in a while or they'll never grow up. I support The Mittani for CSM 7 for the whole of EVE, including mining. |

Tell me about it. Most goons are pretty much oblivious to irony and have absolutely no sense of humor at all. You would not believe how frustrating it can be at times. They are fond of saying, "The internet is serious business." and they are not kidding around. It's probably due to the elitism that really defines their group and the seriousness with which they've approached Eve Online from the very beginning of their presence here. It's life or death to them, and you would not believe the sort of temper tantrums I've witnessed over things like getting blown up on ops or having to fly a rifter instead of a more elite ship. The only thing that keeps our alliance together is the iron fisted directorate and the degree to which goons seem to always gladly follow orders.
In fairness, I think they really do mean well.

Most people on these forums are idiots, and you are one of them. The only difference is that goons know that they are idiots, and enjoying the benefits of being idiots. hence they do whatever they want no matter how stupid it is. While the rest of you delude yourself into believing you are actually better than the rest. You are not. And deep inside you feel that you are not any different. And thats makes you jealous. tl:dr
For apparently most of the thread at that. Basically what I got from the first post:
"Blah blah, Mittani is just doing this so he can have epeen rights, and isn't going to do anything"
Apparently, my view on a chairman is greatly different then yours Mr. Altcorp. I've always viewed a good chairman to be someone that operates as 'first among equals', which does kind of lend itself to not doing much in a way, other then making sure that the rest of the 'equals' have the ability to be heard on the subjects that they either hold near and dear, or are specialists at. As per what I read from the first post, Mittani had little actual say on the hybrid changes, and isn't doing much with w-space, or whatever it was that was referenced, and in the same block of text, other CSM delegates were given credit for having hammered out the specific details in those issues. Isn't that what the CSM was supposed to do in the first place? Seems to me that your post, in addition to be the accumulation of butthurt, is self defeating. I'd rather have a CSM delegate that is willing to work with the other elected represenatives within their specialties then one who attempts to lord over the rest.
But then perhaps, I've been lost in the swarm of equine biological waste that passes for logic among the masses, whilst contributing to it ;) |

Delici Feelgood wrote:This is a quick study at the attitude of the current CSM Chairman with regards to his role and how he see's his purpose to be for what would be a return to CSM7. I want to make a distinction that this is purely a look at the current CSM Chairman, the Mittani and are not views reflecting the entire CSM. From what it appears the Mittani would see his future purpose as more of a caretaker role than an active and visionary directive for EvE issues: The Mittani wrote:I do expect CSM7 to be a lot easier than CSM6 ........ Ideally I'll be able to settle into something of a "caretaker" role...... When you consider that his purpose is "supposed" to be to take forward player ideas and represent the player concerns how he can expect to do this with a non-progressive attitude mystifies me. There are numerous outstanding things to be done and considered in order for EvE to be a better experience. It is simply contemptable that he thinks he can put his "feet up" for CSM7. If you look at the Mittani's manifesto, he has a long list of things he won't do. Which case and point is pretty much his stance or his whole campaign stratergy. Thus he has already got a "letter from parents to give to teacher" about what he is excused from doing. But there is no real content as to identify what he does actually stand for. Most of his manifesto seems to be just trying to win the PvP vote as he see's this as a popular platform to act smug about and think to claim as his own. Yet he forgets that other candidates have an equal interest in this area and could easily represent PvP interests. Some of whom have more active campaigns on the upcoming expansion content and have been debating and discussing it actively with players and as a result will likely be more valuable to the next term of EvE as CSM. So don't be fooled that if you don't support the Mittani that others CSM candidates wont be there to help support these interests. If anything it appears they will be at more dedicated to EvE's potential. Recently the Mittani has been seen to be absent possibly lost from campaigning for nearly a week. Though you could argue this is a good thing, as when asked about issues his responce is to praise fanboi support for his own selfish interests or debunk/dismiss anyone who opposes them. This lack of respect is not unusual though: The Mittani wrote:If any of you trust a politician, I don't know what to tell you. Try not to drown in a puddle of rain?
The luxury of my popularity is that I don't have to bother lying to my voters about who and what I am. You get exactly what you voted for: a manipulative sadist who makes no apologies for who or what he is.
&
Politics is about power and conflict. Some lie about it. I don't have to
&
Every CSM represents their own constituents. Some have delusions about 'representing everyone'. I do not. I believe the reason why the Mittani feels he can shirk his responsibilities is that he sees he is somehow providing what the players want. Nothing other CSM candidates can in fact achieve or offer more to the table as a result of their extra work they have identified to the playerbase and of course could still be a more concientious null sec candidate, if concerned about areas. If we take the new tier 3 BCs introduced by CCP we can see in the CSM minutes prior to their launch that there is in fact no mention of the CSM steering efforts towards this feature and given the impact it has made in restoring faith in CCP and how it would support the move to FiS, you'd expect to see the CSM to have been dancing all over it in the minutes in preperation for its launch, even if it was a teaser. Of course the Mittani will simply try to now claim it towards his so called achievements as opposed to where the credit really lies, with CCP. The Mittani rides the coattails of CCP and other CSM, in this way, taking credit for various issues. And whilst the CSM minutes don't clearly identify stances (due to drama avoidance) we can see that the Mittani is not in fact creditable to "all" the work: [quote=The Mittani]I mostly delegated discussion of hybrid issues to the CSM6 hybrid experts, Prometheus Exenthal and White Tree. I'm a nullsec sovwar guy, whether rails need a 10 percent buff and a 12 percent grid decrease is really too micro for me. I'd just mess things up. I'm pretty happy with what Tallest has posted in his hybrid blog. &" OP:
The Mittani is best friends with a lot of dudes at CCP and is totally in bed with them. He wants to be on the CSM so he can continue to get insider information to benefit him and his corp/alliance. CCP Sreegs and him used to be roommates and Sreegs was once the CEO of Goonfleet.... |

It was entertaining.
But then again considering the theme was "communication" I found the stance by EvE Radio quite patronising and one sided. Whilst also certainly an interesting choice of candidate for Mittens to choose to debate such a subject. Especially when it's obvious that Riverini's first language is not English.

Of course not, do you know another foreign language? would be willing to do a live interview through that language? and the guy on the other side of the table wasn't exactly the easiest of the opponents. but this was already a calculated risk, eve radio is more leaned towards the mittani, another calculated risk. On the other hand I enjoyed the interview, we both behaved in a pretty civil manner and in the end it was a pretty constructive one. Again, I think most listened expected a battle of wits and vulgarities, but this was not in the best interests of the elections.
Well despite my opinion, seems Riverini saw it as time well spent, despite any perceived bias.
