I know theres another thread on this, but its kinda dead. So anyway, why do I get the socket closed error? I know alot of people are experiencing it, but there doesnt seem to be any infor about it.

yes im getting this error aswell.... no idea how to fix it or if its sever side

Restart your client until it works.

1. You have to learn to use the search function on the top right...
2. If you don't log in within a minute or something, the server closes the connection. It's a timeout on your side, your fault if it happens.
In earlier times it was possible to reopen the connection by selecting an other server, now you have to restart the game.

Restarting the client does not work. And I did check the stickies, didnt find anything, my apologies if there was any info on it in there. Anyhow, a GM told me that there is a bug with the error itself (:P) saying "socket closed" when actually there is a problem with your password or something along those lines.

It seems that you get the wrong error message. Actually your account didnt quite make the mirror or is banned or some other reason.

Hi all.
This is a known issue that has been fixed on our internal servers. The reason you get this message is that you have typed in the wrong password or username.
