Hi, i think im gonna shoot some ppl at a few lowsecgates later and wsa wondering how much dps the sentrys at the gates put out. is it comparable to a lvl 4, and is there specific dmgtypes in regart to what kind of gate it is?
what im trying to ask is weather a Domi vould be able to perma tank theese, and pop ppl with sentry drones!? :) |

Low sec sentries do around 250 DPS across all damage types.
A domi will tank it easily, but kiss goodbye to your sentry drones. :)

sentries do all 4 dmg types.
They shoot drones, and ussualy pop them instantly, so drones at low-sec g8 camps are no-go..
Two sentries would do around 600dps accross the board..

I often use a domi for low-sec camping. But you wanna go w blasters, and only push out your babies from the bay if you feel the fight might be tight. Wich it of course shouldn't have to be if ur camping, or you don't use scouting enough.
EDIT: go w a 1-repper blaster setup w high resistances. Or get a friend in another BS so you can spidertank each other. In that case you might also be able to remove some of your resistance for dmg modules to raise your blasterdamage.

Sentry guns do around 250 dps.
They do double Thermal and Double kinetic, compared to EM and explosive.
Drones arn't useless at gatecamps.
Use Garde I/II's

I always use drones when tanking sentries by myself with a T1 cruiser. I have whatever junk drones I've looted recently in my drone bay, and launch them when I engage. Whatever volleys are targeting those drones aren't targeting my Thorax.
