Tutorial
It'll go a lot faster and smoother if you play though it. The rest comes from reading everything you see in this forum. |

Welcome to Eve.
You have found it right there. Eve does not lead you. You have to decide what you want to do.
Pirate commander, miner, industry mogul, trader, 0.0 fleet commander, explorer.
Set yourself a goal to work towards. First step is a good corp.

Hello and welcome to EvE! I am also an ex-SWG player and this game can be extremely daunting to a new player. Read everything you can on the internet and forums, check the new player guide and I highly recommend the Eve Wiki as another reasource. Do not be afraid to ask questions and have a good time!

Edited by: ISD Honeyschnookie on 25/04/2008 21:27:18 Welcome to Eve - to answer the sig size question: * No more than one signature image may be used * Maximum height: 120 pixels * Maximum width: 400 pixels * Maximum file size: 24,000 bytes (not Kbytes) taken from the forums rules.
As to what you can do next - anything really. You could go and run more missions. For that you have two options:
- Find one from a corporation you have already worked for (Open your character sheet, go to standings/liked by, then pick any corporation and show info on them. Go to the agents tab and see which are available for you and which not.)
- Or you can find one in a specific area. That would be: F10/in the world map control panel you go to star map/color stars by/my information/my available agents. Then you see a lot of green blobs on the map, which represent agents you can work for. Click on those and you get all sorts of info like quality, exact location, name etc. For missions also refer to this guide.
Some of the other things you can do is mining, industry, trading, pvp (yes, really...you can pvp - as a tackler, for example).
the player guide
a very thorough mining guide
recruitment forums
market discussions forum
might be of interest to you.
Whatever you decide to do, keep your clone up-to-date, insure your ship and have fun :)

Don't forget scamming! It seems like everyone forgets to mention scamming when giving n00bs advice on what they can do in EVE. -=^=-

That¦s because noone wants to kick themselves when being scammed by the person they suggested it to

I guess that could be something to consider... But on the other hand, someone suggesting scamming to noobs should hopefully be smart/experienced enough to see a scam coming, and TBH, if I managed to get scammed by someone who I suggested it to, kudos to them for pulling one over on me -=^=-
