Hello,
In this day and age most high end moons are taken. If you do not have the numbers and the allies you probably will not be getting the moons. So, since my 6 month break I have noticed that a lot of pilots have become spoiled with regards to PvP and are always asking for an SRP program when in fleets. SRP programs are nice I will admit this. For smaller alliances and newer corps this can make it hard on recruitment with regards to attracting a higher calibre of PvPers because they expect some form of an SRP.
So my question to newer alliances and newer corps is: How do you afford and implement a good SRP program with a lack of moon goo legally? I have thought about implementing a monthly fee from members and putting it in the bank and watching this bank build up. But then you will always have the people who complain. So is there another way to go about this in order to implement a successful SRP without having to rely on rich members to fork out ISK out of their own pocket? Suggestions anyone? |

You will attract a lot of quality members by charging them a fee to join your corp which apparently has 0 assets and no way of making money, let me tell you. |

On a Corp level then quite simply bounty taxes. If you're struggling then you can implement initiatives such as an ORE buyback programme which buys for X amount below Jita and then sold on for a slight profit. You can do the same with salvage and PI too. Depending on your corp structure you could even ask some of your managers to do some market trading purely to fund the corp wallet.
As you're in Fountain you could consider helping to stock 6V with the ships and modules TEST needs.
Alliance wise... Just the above on a larger scale. Some low end moons can be used to create reactions for a small profit. Having several reaction setups will of course increase that profit. Not quite tech moon levels but with a bit of work you could bring in a couple of bil a month. |

Members fees and taxes.
It has been done before, not every alliance with space and moons is a million years old. |

I don't see how you can plan on doing it right out of the gate. Members within small corps and even small alliances need to be self-sufficient to a degree. Usually folks are in a corp for some form of mutual benefit. You mine, they mine. You pvp, they like who/where you're killing folks. Doesn't mean you should be expected to foot the bill. SRP is a nice perk that larger corps/alliances implement to encourage participation because some people are just too afraid to go out into the dark regions of space in their shiny toys.
If you do plan on implementing it, however, I would set some ground rules as to what will be replaced. If you are doing small-gang roams you don't want some bob to come along crying that he lost his vindicator and wants it replaced. You're basically just replacing the hull... otherwise you'll be bled dry by officer/faction fits.

Nationalized reaction farms, nationalized research/invention farms, taxing rat bounties, PI POCO taxes, mining ops to get the minerals to make the ships/fittings yourself, hell think of anything that will make money, or get you the minerals to produce ships for your corp/alliance members. Once you figure out how to make money, figure out how to save it by restricting reimbursement to; approved ops, only certain approved fittings[API verified KM], fleet doctrine ships, not paying out if it was caught ratting, whatever you decide, so that you are not crippling your corp/alliance by supporting dumb people doing dumb things. You've got to remember that these are just simple miners. These are people of the land. The common clay of New Eden. You know... morons. |
