Tryppster	Posted - 2008.04.27 05:14:00 - [1] I recently tried to use Eve Voice to help a friend start learning EvE and was unable to set it up correctly. I formed a fleet, invited my friend, set voice-enabled, set my hotkey, joined the channel: fleet and pressed the hotkey. I saw my icon light up for 1 second and turn off. After that the icon never lit up again. Seeing as it worked for 1 second, it seems I have set it up correctly. Any reason why it would simply cut out and not respond after the first use?

I'll look like a tube quoting myself. But I have found that my EVE Voice icon only turns red when I am actually speaking into the mic. Any othertime it will not activate. I'm sure this wasn't the case before.. so damn sure. But it's fine now.... Check it out and see if yours is the same buddy.
Eleana Tomelac Gallente Through the Looking Glass	Posted - 2008.04.30 11:14:00 - [4] Try to use the voice in a non-fleet channel, or do not set the fleet 'voice-enabled', the first time I used this, the replies to joining voice from the people joining the fleet made strange things... We all left the voice and rejoined it. Anyway, any chat channel can be used with voice, no need to create a fleet to speak.
