Edited by: Oldgiffer on 27/04/2008 13:21:58 I dont often come on the forums anymore but I had a bit of luck this afternoon which I though was worth sharing for the players thinking of taking up piracy.
I was out looking for mission runners in low sec and as usual the scan probes were not finding the guy I was after. Then the probes found another random player in local. Only in a rupture, but I thought might aswell kill him while I wait for the covert ops pilot to locate the mission runners.

Victim: ******** Alliance: NONE Corp: Republic Military School Destroyed: Rupture System: Arifsdald Security: 0.1 Damage Taken: 5062
Involved parties:
Name: Oldgiffer (laid the final blow) Security: -10.0 Alliance: NONE Corp: Filthy Scum Ship: Nighthawk Weapon: Scourge Heavy Missile Damage Done: 5062
Destroyed items:
Cybernetic Subprocessor - Standard, Qty: 23 (Cargo) Memory Augmentation - Standard, Qty: 27 (Cargo)

i likes it when peeps moan about popping a seemingly worthless ship
like waahaha i had no fittings or brave man killing a noob ship bet you feel big now.
cargo is the reason we pop everything, even the nubs ships because peeps continue to carry expensive items in the cheapest ships Its your own fault losers
Can't afford the ransom ? We do accept poems in local for those short on isky, Subject of our choice |

I'd report that, it's becoming common for the isk farming mission runners to trade in LP for implants that are then jettisoned in a can at a safespot and moved to a market by another alt, this way station trades and contracts between them can't be traced. Implants are turned into ISK and ISK is then sold.
Nice haul though, nothing wrong in you keeping it but I would report the player and get CCP to investigate him

Basically he just did. CCP checks his kill mail and finds said player.

I scrolled down far enough to see that there was a nice block of dropped items. narrowly avoiding that same reaction
and yes, why dropping something in a can in space and someone else picking it up is untraceable is like what?? i don't see how that is untraceable.
