To give you an idea of where I'm at, I've got about 600,000 skill points, been playing for a few weeks.
I've got access to level 3 agents so can do delivery missions that earn me about 80k on average per run. I've tried my hand at mining, but unless I'm in a group with my corp, the results aren't that impressive; although I'll admit I'm not very experienced there.
So what are the best ways to make lots of money fast? All tips, including useful training and equipment to get appreciated!

The best way firstly is slow droneing mining, mining and then some more mining. Scrape beg borrow save enough for a battleship, then let that be your bread n butter.. to give you an idea
ilogged on earlier chainkilled some NPC's in 0.0 space and made 7 mill in about 45-1hr15m... then i sat in my pod scopeing the loot making instats to pick up the named items , oohh so fun :)
so yeah BS is lively hood just go for that then think about finding somewhere to work "Teh lord of Nonni"

Agent missions, while repetetive, can net you some decent cash. Level 3 combat missions for instance get you your regular agent rewards, some sweet bonuses, plus the bounty and loot of whatever you're shooting down. That and they're far more interesting than courier missions. :) On average I pull in at least a quarter million isk per mission right now working for the Federation Navy, with a pretty decent chance of implant missions.

Edited by: Earthan on 25/04/2004 17:20:58 I think agent missions are not bad atm tough i dont do them.
If you got a battleship and access to good ore in 0.0 ( dark ochre and higher) near station with refining , mining is unbeatable.
To get the access atm you should propably join a corp wich is in a alliance.Nearly all 0.0 with good ore is shared between alliances , pilots outside who try to mine are usually shut down immediately, tough many alliances allow to pass and hunt NPC's

really you need to think about what you want to do in eve and make cash that way, some like mining some like viceroy like piracy, some like exploring and selling information others like to trade while others like to hunt npc and sell the goods that way, so really your question you sould ask yourself, what is it YOU want to do in eve? and then we can tell you the best way of making cash from that method, though yes a BS is most definetly needed to make real cash in most cases, hope this helps

Edited by: Tibor Ferenc on 25/04/2004 18:15:41 A very long time ago when I was poor and in a frig, to make my first million I ninja mined. Its best to do it in a group of 3 or 4 in my experience. Have 1 hauler at a safe-spot and the others in somthing along the lines of a bantam. Then find some nice ore ark, bist, crok and fly around the belts mining and dodging the rats.
As I said it was a long time ago at release I did this and im sure ppl have refined the technique further so dont take this a gospel as I am a self procklaimed mining nub.
Hope this helps.
Tib, m0o.
edit: I have to agree with the previous post that you must do when you want in EvE however sometimes you have to do a little bit of toil to get to that point hence the ninja mining. http://mmogcenter.com/tiborsig.jpg

A battleship is nice, but not the only money making ship around.
Nobody seems to mention Industrials. I have made more money with my industrials than with any ship.
You can learn industrial skill much faster than battleship skills. The largest industrial costs 50 times less than the lowest priced battleship. The skills to fly an industrial well, compliment combat ships performance too.
You can make money with an industrial:
1)Trade 2)Hauling for mates, or hired by the load or hour. 3)Large volume agent courier missions. (distribution agents, preferably several at the same time) 4)Stealing ore (despicable behavior, but alleged to be profitable) 5)AFK mining. (Not really as viable as it once was)
Yawn, boring you say? Try running a industrial bloated with cargo expanders, laden with precious cargo, through 40 plus hops of war zone and pirate infested 0 security space, alone, sometime.
The Industrial motto: If I am here, then something needs to be somewhere else.

LOL! Yep that sounds like my thing! I've got Viking blood in me so pillage/plunder in the blood... just got to control that NICE side of me! (I hope my corp members aren't reading).
Tons of great suggestions, ta. Seems like it gets a load easier once I've got BS skills (and the money to afford one!)
Keep em coming...

Can you explain what equip / training needed to achieve that? That's a pretty staggering sum for an hours work!

Cruiser, Vexor is best, xpanders and mining lasers, and corp membership to someone in an alliance as almost all ark/bist/crok is inside alliance territory, and mining there will get u shot.

I suggest you do something you enjoy, and become good enough at it that some corp out there will provide you with ships, equipment and help in exchange for your services.
Barring that, do the ISK making activity closest to what you want to do. Want to PvP but don't have experience? blast some NPCs. Want to be a deep space explorer? go ninja mine in some alliance's back 40. Want to chat with more experienced players to learn more about EVE? Empire gang mine.
ISK for ISKs sake will burn you out pretty quick... only do things you enjoy and you'll find that money comes when you need it.
