Hey yo chickens.
Wondering what the dealio is with character sales. If someone bids the highest, and then fails to contact me ingame or send the money, does this have any repercussion, or are players free to fake-bid, thus ruining a character sale? |

Man I have no idea what you're talking about but it sure sounds like a good question.

All you do at that point is post that the buyer didn't come through and the character is up for sale again.

I think the issue he has is with people purposely killing auctions by offering insane amount of money then of course not paying up prolonging the whole process.

this. the person engaged in a bidding war with the person that won it has been contacted, and as they outbid each other a lot, is now only offering a fraction of what he would have gone for.

Re list the char and state the winning bidder failed to come through.
If the other person does not want to pay the previous amount of the high bidder your under no regulations to sell it to them at a lot lower price. If they are still interested in the Char then ask them nicely to just rebid on the new auction.

Don't default to the second highest bid, because they don't know if it is a rigged auction or not if the winning bid fails to pay.
Restart the auction, if it happens again, perhaps you should find a different way to sell it. ~Adelaide Chen Chief Administrator CharacTech Services
