Hey everyone,
Just to point out that I HAVE submitted a petition and have NOT received and answer from ccp in over 20 hours.
I believe I had a key logger on my computer a few days ago and re-installed windows.
Now i was logged into the game, and tabbed out to sell a GTC, and I could not log into my account. I tried every password I usually use on the net, and also changed caps, none worked.
I also have a support ticket filed ingame as i am logged in now, but if I log out I wont be able to log back in.
i was disconnected at downtime, and am not able to log in.
Nor am i able to retrieve my password via the "forgotten password" link. it just says wrong password.
I have updated my petition with the required information to prove the account is mine.
My question is:
Why is it taking so long for me to get an answer?
At least a confirmation from ccp letting me know they are working on it or something.
It is unacceptable that I pay for this game on a monthly basis and recieve such poor customer support. Usually I get a instant/ within and hour response.

How do you know it was actually stolen? Maybe not? Maybe some sort of screw up, I forget my passwords all the time, well at least on other things than EVE.

I went to the retreive lost password, and the system says "invalid user name / or email." and i have also entered every email i have ever used.
Petition cat: Lost Accounts and Passwords.

Well that is bad stuff 
As to the response time I can't say much. Not my department and I have 0 GM experience (other than RMT which I wont shut up about over coffee much to their dismay, and that's just a hobby really).
But you only do need the user name and the email registered with it to reset the password. It will only provide a temporary solution if the keylogger is still on your computer but it's good for locking the account down at the least. You might also want to change the password for that email account if that is something you type in to access it.
I apologize for not being able to reassure you any further. I can't say whether the issue is being looked into at the moment or not. But the petition will be looked into and resolved in an appropriate manner.

All you can do at this point is be patient. I believe that issues of account hacking are a very high priority so it should be taken care of quickly.
Make sure that when you log in you check your petition by going to the Help screen, you should be able to see any petitions you've filed. No to be a downer, but if the account thieves have gone that far, your character already has an empty wallet and nothing in the hangar. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to find the character deleted before the end of the day. Hopefully CCP can restore you to before the account theft, but if not, you'll just have to start over. Sorry buddy.
May I recommend this as a solution to any future keylogger issues? I guarantee it will solve that problem, and you can still play EVE.

Seems GM Sparkle has already replied to the original petition some 9 hours ago. I guess you can no longer access that petition due to password changes.
I don't really know the proper procedure here but I reckon you'd best re-petition with this account. I'll jump into the client and eve-mail you the standard requirements for these claim to speed things up for you.

Im sorry that I no longer have access to that petition that was on my account that got stolen.
I did however creat a new petition with the same email I have on the account, so if you can check for a petition under the email of "[email protected]"
You will find the exact same petition, with my required details for retrieval

Edited your email out, not smart to post it here to be honest.
I cannot see any petition linked to the account you are currently posting with. I reckon that you used a non-account specific method seeing as you are quoting an email addy there and I do not have access to those petitions.. as far as I know (0 GM experience). I do hope the issue resolves for you, I can only imagine teh total suck it is.

What category did you petition under? Petition under exploits or stuck and you should get a response within a few minutes (At least last time I had to petition it was like that)

Lol shameless open source plug! I love it. Or you could just stop watching all that darned internet ****. Don't click on things that seem fishy run a firewall and virus scanner don't open attachments or emails when you don't know who they are from etc etc etc etc... A more secure OS while a very good start is still no substitute for safe computing practices. (Aww hell did I just out my self as an IT guy?) Bored during down time? Try this. |

STICKY this thread and any time some one *****es about bad customer service direct them here to the DEV team jumping in to do Customer service at midnight when its not even their department or problem to fix. This is why I like CCP damn it.

If its your account, im sure u will get it back
my second mains account was hacked, password changed as was the email, no idea how they got access, cant be a key logger otherwise they would have swiped my main main account with billions, caps etc, my second main only had a cnr a few bs and no waller, GMs looked into it, saw the chnages to my account and the odd ip's restored it very fast and effectivly.
and the person even attempted to get back in (they had the password resent via lost password thinking they email was still the one they chnaged it to)
100% great work on the gms on this, so dont fret
