I'm looking for a partner for a large scale market manipulation in the Etherium Reach Region. This is in 0.0 and will have a direct impact on the INTREPID CROSSING alliance. I read this a couple of times but have a few questions:
1) Looking for a partner? My only assumption would be that you cannot afford to handle this market manipulation yourself so need additional funds.
2) This manipulation has been going on for 2 months? Ok, if this has been going on two months and you are now out of funds would this not be considered a good time to cut your losses? Obviously the manipulation is only proving profitable to your competitors and not yourself?
I could be wrong but would like clarification on this. I find it more likely that you tell chosen partner to put a buy order up for a chosen item so you can sell your stocks to them quickly and at your chosen price range.
However maybe you are legitimate. Why would you advise on the alliance/location this manipulation is taking place?
Finally, "there's no stopping it now". This is what a gambler will say when they lose all their income. They then move onto their savings. It's crucial for a trader/manipulator etc to know when it's time to give up.
Hopefully you can provide a bit more data I may have misinterpreted your post.

yeah have to agree with Ricdic. If its 0.0 it really shouldn't be that hard to mess up a market if that's all you are trying to do. If you are expecting huge profits then you might want to look elsewhere.

I fail to comprehend how you can fail to make money at market manipulation in 0.0
Reaching the scale necessary to shut down a 0.0 market to the point of monopolization requires the ability to buy out Jita.... and then you will do better in Jita as the volume is MUCH higher.
Concord doesn't provide consequences. Concord provides insurance payouts. |

exactally how can you run out of money out here. unfortunately. my main problem is i can only place 141 orders. this is why i need a parnter. looking for some one to mainley go after the mins

i also forgot to clarify, the reason im gave out the region and the alliance. is because they are fully aware of what i am up to. they would have to be blind not to. As for the jita comment, you may be right but whats the fun in that if no one is ****ed off at you.
also im not guaranting any one will get rich, although if you know what your doing i dont see how you couldent. then again if you come out here all full of gusto and make some stupid moves you will lose your butt.

Did you know in Eve you can train skills that help you with that order problem. Now you also say you need someone to mainly go after the mins. That's what? 8-10 order slots? A new trade alt from character creation gets started with about 50-60 slots available, I suggest you check it out.

this guy has really not been a big of a pain as he likes to think, i can really only think of two items that he's effected and no-one buys them, unless it's the random new guy that doesn't know yet, and any major purchase happens thru contracts anyways. All in all i would call this a failed undertaking on his part. for one, it's the drone region and minerals are free, and two anything we need we jump in, sure he's tricked me into a overpriced module, but it only happened once =P

hehe. ok you cought me iv lost all my money. and no one buys anything. I hope i have learned my lesson. ill just keep on losing my money, wont be that bad though since i dont have any to lose. wish you all the best of luck, even though you guys dont need it with you superior intelect and all

I like the part where you post on public forums and get public feedback and then decide you don't like the feedback so you go right to saying things like "now i know why no one likes you guys". yes, you obviously have good reason to make such a claim on behalf of the rest of us non-ebankers.

Darkrftr seems to have forgotten to post a few things about his grand plan.
1. He is making some of our building corps stinking rich as he buys stuff, marks it up and thens is undercut, buys it all and this continues in a vicious cycle.
2. He is now the lowest seller on many items because of the undercutting being done to him on all the common mods. Did he not think that if he bought up all the things like Sensor Booster 2s that someone wouldn't fill in the gap?
All in all, he is actually making our market better and I must say Dark, from the bottom of our industrialists hearts, thank you for all you keep doing for us.

The funny part is that IRC has made a tremendous amount of money off of this guy.
His problem is he sees something he wants to manipulate, and he just keeps buying. And IRC keeps selling. And either manufacturing, or jumping stuff up for him to buy. See, IRC has a controlled markup over the EVE Central empire average. This guy was actually kicked from IRC for repeatedly violating those rules, and his motivations are to hurt, rather than to make money.
When he stops buying, IRC then jumps up the stock wanted in the first place, and then laughs at him.
The new market settings (to ignore overpriced items) are great - except for the few that don't follow instructions, nobody even sees his overpriced wares.
There is a reason he is asking for help - he is out of money, and has been for some time (he was buying passive targeter IIs the other day for some reason... I don't even know why anyone would put those on the market in the first place). He's sitting on a huge inventory, and I'll bet his plan is to scam his new "partner" into picking up some of his overpriced, unmovable items, and then he'll take what's left of his funds and run. |
