As the topic says - i'm looking for the least populated region in eve (0.0 excluded). Any travellers/explorers there with such information - help is much appreciated:)) |

Khanid is not very populated. Explainable partly by the fact many 0.0 regions have a higher station density than this Empire region. Devoid and Derelik not exactly swarmed either. -- Heat, easy to burn your mods by mistake, hard to get it to work when you need it the most. Well designed interface CCP! |

Not Placid, Orvole and Stacmon alone are very populated, Osmeden not a desert either. Aridia get lots of trafic not sure many people actually leave there actually. -- Heat, easy to burn your mods by mistake, hard to get it to work when you need it the most. Well designed interface CCP! |

Indeed, Placid is far from empty, even in lowsec.

From what i have seen there are some missionrunners in aridia, the rest is only inhabitated by a pirate corp in vehan and macro missionrunners that fly in standard bestowers through the region. Hophip is populated, too, but that's it. No real population there

Click map. Select option "Show pilots in space". _______________________________________________ Human beings didn't evolve brains in order to lie around on lakes. Killing's the first thing we learned. And a good thing we did, or we'd be dead. |

Some parts of the Genesis region are deserted too, although some parts also have a nice population. --- I've always wondered about those Vagabond pilots... |

Solitude has it beat. Most efficient method to get there is through 5 heavily camped 0.0 systems or a slow-boat route through around 15 lowsec systems. ------------------------ Peace through superior firepower: a guiding principle for uncertain times. |

Solitude most definately. Either you go a dangerous route thru 0.0 or you take the "safe" route from genesis thru 15 lowsec system, most of which are devoid of activity. The worst pvp'er in EVE :

Solitude definitely isn't. Too many good agents there

Edited by: Furb Killer on 30/04/2008 15:02:20 Have lived for almost 6 months in solitude, and it is pretty quiet most of the time and good agents. However getting there is a PITA, and if you got to get a new ship you usually need to make 30 jumps or a few less when going through 0.0. There is no normal way to get to an area with decent market without going through long list of low sec systems or through camped 0.0 systems. Which basicly is the reason i left, the solitude market is crap.
Yesterday i went back in shuttle, because someone was selling a shadow serp tracking comp cheap. On the way back to empire you got to go through gonditsa, which is usually camped. Was clear when i went to solitude, when i went back they were having a little gatecamp. I warped to planet besides the gate, and according to my scanner they were camping with 20-22 ships the gate. And then people wonder why there arent more in low sec...

Only reason I was there was for cheap ice (Gallente Type) and a Lv 4 High-sec Duvolle Labs kill-mission agent. Good if you want to do research and stuff. ------------------------ Peace through superior firepower: a guiding principle for uncertain times. |

Khanid is very empty in parts but lively in others. Danera/Palas on the northwest side and Agil/Khitaled on the southeast were fairly major hubs, but as the population of eve has grown, they haven't kept pace arguably. Also when I've been to Agil recently it has declined somewhat from avg. pop of 100 a year ago to around 30 to 50. There is a large area of low sec in khanid but it isn't empty, just low population due to pirates.
Basically it isn't any one region, but some parts of some regions are dead.

devoid used to be pretty empty. in the last couple months tho my home system has gone from 3 to 5 people at peak times to 50 or so. strangely though when i asked 43 of them to leave the system so as not to overcrowd my local chat box there was a total absence of compliance.

Solitude doesn't connect to any High Sec area on any side. You get at least a dozen Low Sec jumps one way, and half a dozen Nullsec jumps the other way if you want to get to another region's High Sec area. Maybe Solitude is like a region unto itself with its own cabal of dedicated industrialists and so forth, but I'd imagine that most of the people there are only passing through.
