I'm planning to create an alt to mine in perfectly safe areas with an industrial ship and as many cargo upgrades as I can -- something I can do with little to no supervising, like during the night. I'm wondering what would be the easiest and fastest to train. Initially I was thinking about making a Gallente guy so as to get the Iteron V (eventually), but then I noticed the Bestower doesn't look too bad and only requires the Industrial skill at level 1... What would you people say? Go for an Amarr guy for fast training, or go the longer way with a Gallente dude in order to get the Iteron V whenever I finally get the skill (within a month or so, I guess) ? --- I bring you joy, I bring you pain, I bring you some sunshine And some rain. |

Well if you want to train for an iteron mk V for a month than go for gallante but you can make an alt flying a bestower in a matter of days. __________ Capacitor research |

Gallente.
Best hauler, best cruiser miner, best lvl 1 battleship miner, and generally has the better starting attibutes to become a v. good miner in short time.

Yes, Joshua, I've considered this, but the sole idea here is to start mining a big rock and basically leave it alone for as long as necessary to fill up a hauler with as many cargo expansions as I can -- so in this case, cruisers and battleships don't matter. Still, I was leaning towards the Gallente idea, so thanks for your input anyway. --- I bring you joy, I bring you pain, I bring you some sunshine And some rain. |

I don't want to rain on your parade or nothing but there are NO areas of safe space. AFK mining in an indy is risky if a suicide kestrel gank squad comes a calling.

an Arma is worst that a Dominix for mining. Smaller drone bay, which mean that you can't carry 10 ogres and 10 harvesters at the same time. The only thing going for hte Amra is that he don't look like a piece of ****.

Galente. Definately. You can be up and flying an iteron 1st day. They eventualy at skill 5 have THE best indy (largest hold, Faster than others, More slots, better stats) but it takes a month to train. So for ultra AFK mineing definately a Galente.

Your only problem would be picking rock large enough to AFK mine. They run out pretty quickly these days ;-)

using harvs is for 0.9 and 1.0 = no pirates, you wont use harvs with npcs, and 10 wasps can be fit at such a time --- "this song reminds me of the girl i met on a schooltrip, she was really nice, and she really liked me. I forgot to ask her her phone number" - Nelix trist OMG im a pretzel!!! |
