ATUK have now left Curse Alliance after becoming disillusioned with its over politicisation.
We hereby announce to our old enemies that all CA wars etc no longer will be prosecuted by ATUK.
We will however be noting any acts of aggression against us.
Now is time for a fresh start.

Yar Tans, sounds like politics to me.
But at least you havn't termed it backstabbing. It seems some of the CA were unaware of our position and reacted with the full force of ignorance.
The reference we have made to the political aspect is that no peacefull resolution was offered ATUK by the CA.

The decision to declare war on CA is down to Mars "I just lost a another bs" Volta who shot down one of our members, as such the whole CA must now suffer for this. Thats the corps reasons.
My reasons for voteing yes is the little retards (they know who they are) They talk all big n hard, but I dont think I have ever seen them back it up not to mention im sure they get aroused at the thought of CA politics (sorry guys I just tell it the way it is, sound familiar?). To the rest of CA nothing personal I hope you guys are haveing as much fun as we are I still have loads of repesect for people like Xirtam and most of VOTF great guys tbh.

As for CA guys, I havent been around ATUK for very long but the CA guys i have worked with have always been top notch fun, props to you guys that Ive had the pleasure of knowing.
As for ATUK, man I love this corp, things get boring - they dont stir the hornet nest, they swallow it whole and go looking for more, i love it!
Oh and on this note of CA politics - would highly advice noone make ultimatums, b/c that is a green light to get ATUK deeply imprinted on your backside from what i gather.

I will give you porps Sun Silver you got away when my old corp went after you in your Tempest. You survived 4 apocs, 1 raven and 1 dominix and got away with about 10% structure. that is bad ass. *tips hat* you know what your doing, have to admit that any one who can get away in one peice agaisnt those odds is a strong mo-fo...even if I don't really like pirateing :P

Thanx mate, tbh i dont remember the fight but im sure it was fun  and i promise to continue to jump in and give some hell from time to time. Course sometimes ill run like a pony-tail girl, depending on my blood alcohol lvl

Hmm... I wasn't there when it happened so I can only speculate, but I heard Mordrin got smartbombed in his frigate as Mars was trying to smartbomb a KOS frigate that warped to the gate. If that's true...er...that kinda makes ATUK a bunch of cry-babies...not the pvp gods I have always thought them to be.
And to have one of your frigates get smartbombed, then not even 12 hours later launch a massive assault on the CA...I wonder. Well, if it was a knee-jerk reaction/temper tantrum sort of thing, ATUK has HUUUUUGE freaking balls of brass. Unplanned uncoordinated tantrums like that are super risky. I don't think that's a terribly far fetched thing for ATUk to do, but then again.....
I think ATUK had this planned for some time. Amazing too how situations like this make the Evolm0otion war declarations actually seem honourable. Who would have thought ATUK would stoop so low as to rely on killing heaps of pilots that had no idea a BLUE BOXED SHIP was about to open fire on them. Classy.
Well ATUK was always one of the corps in CA(like mine heh) that has always been a burden to defend in the never-ending famous "CA are not pirates" argument. This can only be good for the CA. We don't need your kind....just my sick, biased, unfounded, misguided opinion....

Mordin was killed after we had made our decision to leave CA. It had nothing to do with him, or me for that matter; i got killed by fatballs (a fellow CA member at the time) a day or two before that.
Personally, i would never do that to an ally, if its blue you dont lock it, it's not rocket science. Granted it was pain in the ass but not much more then that. For the record, i was paid back.
Anyway i thought we had some good comradery p0ma, no need to diss ATUK cause we are no longer fighting on the same side...

Why bring up politics, if you can't even make a serious attempt at it? The actions you've described, i.e. the reason you went to war with CA, sound more like the act of a petulant child than one of serious political thought. Still, I guess I have to accept that alot of leaders in corps like yours are the ones who shout loudest.
I dont believe you are traitors, but I do believe you to be dishonourable. Why? Well.. If honour is "keeping your word and commitments" then you clearly went against it. A few days ago, it was your commitment to CA. Tommorow, who knows? If you dont mind being labeled as such, then you're going about things the right way. if thats the case, start expecting ppl to not really listen to what you have to say anymore. Don't get me wrong, afaik, everyone can pull out of the CA without consequences, but you didnt pull out. It is good that ATUK left CA. I can imagine it will become harder for both, which is a good thing (and also more fun for the diehard pvp'ers there). In this case, i'm not on anyone's side... Curse Alliance can use some more problems in their region and ATUK deserves a tougher time aswell (remember Crielere... that was a sad EVE day indeed :), squirrel squad).

To respond to the inevitable smacktalk response from us just makes you look weak imho. A CA member (smith) has already posted his views on the CA response, which was appreciated by ATUK (noobious). This was my view about the ATUK response in general. Think what you will.

I have a lot of respect for ATUK, and still (possibly) am friends with some of them. Please Read this description of events.
Prior the the 'infamous' council meeting, ATUK had been repeatedly asked to stop attacking XETIC, who we had an NAP with, and to start helping against m0o, who were our enemies, both requests were refused, but it was not taken further.
It seems Rainman reported back the situations of the last council meeting in a distorted way to you ATUK guys. No two line whip was layed down, there were no ultimatums. What was emphasized was that ATUK aggression against CA pilots had to end (several incidents were cited). Rainman agreed and said appropriate action would be taken against certain members we had evidence of flying with m0o against CA.
At this point, Rainman said (and Id like him to deny this if it isnt totally true), "You need to make it clear cut, you need to give us an ultimatum, stop NAPing m0o or get out of the alliance". To this comment, the council went quiet. We were not willing to force ATUKs hand. Conversation moved on. Around 10 mins later, Rainman repeated this entreaty. At this point, insisting that the vote would go through to drop the m0o NAP. With a guarantee such as this, it was seen as a no-lose situation, so Xirtam replied 'ok thats fine' and 'bring us your answer tommorrow'. Rainman left happy, and later told several of us in Convo that it would go our way. At the very worst, we expected the small unpleasant section of ATUK that was desperate to be 'as l33t as m0o' to leave ATUK, or in a nightmare scenario, for ATUK to leave CA and become neutral.
The next day, a large ATUK force amassed in their home system of P04F. I passed through it, and seeing some people I thought were mates, chatted to Noob Scriptor etc in local. Within an hour of that situation, without any declaration, ATUK had camped the gates in the CA capital, HLW. At this point noone knew they were hostile.
Chowdown, one of ATUKs greatest allies, constant defenders and best friends, jumped in in his BS. He was instantly targetted by his 'friends' in ATUK and escaped with armor dmg thanks to his MWD travelling loadout (hed just come from empire). M0o arrived and set up with ATUK, as later did Evolution and some Stain Corps.
Was this a spur of the moment decision forced on ATUK?
Well, it wasnt forced. That much is certain. Was it spur of the moment? Evidence indicates not:
ATUK had secured a NAP with XETIC three days before, while one of there reasons for attacking them was 'lack of targets', surely this NAP implies an expectation of new targets? On top of that, the day before the side-switch several corps, most notably Galactic Empire [-GE-] changed their description to say 'Friends of ATUK'. These corps attacked the CA along with the first few ATUK. Coalition building well in advance of any 'ultimatums'.
Finally, the reasons given by ATUK for attacking us (and not just leaving):

Hmm... I wasn't there when it happened so I can only speculate, but I heard Mordrin got smartbombed in his frigate as Mars was trying to smartbomb a KOS frigate that warped to the gate. If that's true...er...that kinda makes ATUK a bunch of cry-babies...not the pvp gods I have always thought them to be.
And to have one of your frigates get smartbombed, then not even 12 hours later launch a massive assault on the CA...I wonder. Well, if it was a knee-jerk reaction/temper tantrum sort of thing, ATUK has HUUUUUGE freaking balls of brass. Unplanned uncoordinated tantrums like that are super risky. I don't think that's a terribly far fetched thing for ATUk to do, but then again.....

To explain this situation. 3 days prior to that, in A2-V27 (a hangout of CFS and m0o, two of CAs enemies), a CA fleet had engaged a CFS/m0o one. During the battle, Several CA members were Jammed and Warp disrupted by ATUK members, including Meridus. We did not fire upon them, and reported it to rainman (hence that portion of the council meeting explanation, above).
Fatballs later took out the frigate (and not POD) of one of the guys who did it.

The fact is, not enough target is bullsh1t. CA is pretty much, at war with everyone (and their brother). They had many areas to assault or support the CA lines, but instead they choose to back stab people who have stoodby them for how long now? Very simliar to m0o, it's fine with me though, i just don't think it's worth throwing away your honour (u know what i mean) just to get a fight.

the "not enough targets" was due to our "honourable intentions".
We were deliberately avoiding the curse area so we weren't placed between CA and MOO hostilities, as MOO were our friends, and we were CA.
Our small skirmishes with Xetic weren't just "for fun" either. A number of Xetic pilots had caused us some problems in the past and we had decided on some punitive actions.
There was no real emnity bewteen ATUK and Xetic forces, as evidenced by our cuurent NAP with them, and our prior co-ordination with some of xetic vs SA (when we were still in the CA) as well as the overall good nature when any engagemets had occurred (props to Cartiff and Olly especially).
All the talk of us leaving curse area is nonsense. Why did people think we would leave?
Curse is our home. Other people can leave if they don't like that.
We didn't go around telling "council stories" in our announcement at the beginning of this post for honour reasons too. We still respect and like a lot of the pilots we are fighting now.
Also, and finally, Rainman made us do it. He had threatened to kill us all if we disobeyed him.

To explain this situation. 3 days prior to that, in A2-V27 (a hangout of CFS and m0o, two of CAs enemies), a CA fleet had engaged a CFS/m0o one.
We have only flown with the CFS once (and even then, it was just myself and Nego, and was against a neutral pirate corp), and would not do so again because the leadership has changed. That was about 2 months ago, you know we don't fly with them, but you lot were just making excuses.

I don't really understand your point. So in game you are a nice guy but on the forums you can behave like a 12 year old CS player?
The game and the forum are related to eachother, what you do here reflects on you in game and vice versa.

SIM has just as much claim over Syndicate as 3rd Front does. We've operated in Syndicate heavily for over 6 months although we'd seldomly visit that particular 'southern area' where I attacked you.
