So I'm hanging out on the recruitment channel and see an advertisement for Goonfleet, now I've heard about these people, and they have some nice youtube videos and such of their exploits and antics. I figure I'll give 'em a shot. I start talking to Mike Yass, a "recruiter" for them, he seems pretty cool. He mentions a "small" security deposit, totaling 50m, to insure against some factor unknown to me. I think "Ok, I don't understand, but sure." Next he tells me they'll ferry my ship for me, a brand new rigged Drake, and again I'm thinking "Well, that's a lot of effort to go through in a corp with that many people, but sure, alright, I can see why... With BoB about and all..." I let a friend of mine know about, we were gonna try and join the same corp, so I wait to see if he'll get in, and on an alt account he's immediatly accepted... Again, something just doesn't feel right... So I do a bit of looking around: Admiral Feelgood of Goonfleet- "Their recruitment policies are on their website, it's pretty common knowledge where goonfleet recruits from. The "give us money to join" bit is a practical joke they play on random people trying to get in." Linkage Goonfleet Wiki- "Goonfleet is NOT a publicly recruiting corporation. We are all members of the Something Awful forums, or well-known friends of someone who is a member. To join Goonfleet you MUST either be a member of the Something Awful forums and have been a member for at least 3 months (approximately, we set a new registration requirement with every newbie drive we hold.), or you must have a sponsor who is a Goonfleet member of good standing who is willing to vouch for you who meets the above requirement." More Linkage Not publicly recruiting... yet in the public recruitment channel, publicly recruiting. And to think I almost fell for it. -Ttef Olos

Surely not! Honestly, I have no sympathy for anyone who gets scammed ingame, it's their own fault, and it's the only way they'll ever learn how to avoid it.

I seriusly have an grudge against these ass holes... And anyone attempting to join them are freaking as bad as them. How can people want to join this big blob full of crap? I have absolutly no respec for that kind of behavior and people. But since EVE is a very nerdy game Im not surprised at all to see so MANY( they are 5k ) cowards. ***** cowards, thats the worts being and the plague of humanity. they must be reaaaaaally fugly and WEAK in reality. Doing their little maths and being all horny at hentai. People like that, people like that deserve to be punched in the teeth. I was impressed by the goon leaderÆs tactical brilliance. EVE battle tactics has little verity your limited in what you can do, mostly it tanking blobbing and jamming and inflicting more Dps exetra. He had little to work with yet he pulled a rabbit out of the hat. The rabbit he used to great effect was using noobs as cannon fodder, one episode he used the noobs as a meat shield that effectively blocked up an entire gate preventing enforcements from relieving the system he was attacking. Got to admits that was brilliant So yeah im not sure that what there doing is destroying EVE, more like making Eve Evolve. Game is changing not dying or getting destroyed. And don't worry goon fleet not going to be in the new EVE goon fleet's alliance is going to the dogs, Bob Is advancing now knocking them down like pins while they scrabble to escape,+ Every one hates them every ones against them war on all fronts. Face it lads there doomed.
