In all seriousness:
I'll confirm everything in the OP. It's true, and I have no shame in it. I'm immensely proud of where BRUCE has gone - from a noob anti-pirate corp in Aeschee, growing up as a major power in Syndicate, and then controlling the lion's share of Fountain. Say what you like about how we got everywhere we did - we did it. Us, an alliance founded and run by people who've been playing for two years. (Truth - check Friedrick's start date.)
I'm personally tired and worn out. Running an alliance for two years does that to you. My successor will step up, and they'll accomplish great things, and they'll move on. BRUCE is a cult of ideology, but there's a lot more to it than that. They'll be fine when FOOM leaves - and I'm sure they'll be here to be smacked on by you folks for a long time to come, as you daily talk about how they're falling apart and noobs and not going to make it and so on....
BRUCE made it this long. They'll make it quite awhile longer.

I need this corp tightened up; rebuilding morale at the corp level. Run corp ops - I don't give a damn if you're not an FC or not combat-trained. You'll learn. Start conversations in corp chat. Invite people to hang out in the Vent channel.
If you want a job, it's this: be proactive. Start building that sense of FOOM pride. BRUCE is going to take a pretty nasty hit in the near future, one way or another - if the corp, or the alliance, is to survive, we're going to need proactive work done. Even if BRUCE falls apart, it'd be nice to have something to fall back on.
Please discuss concrete, real, immediate solutions.
Uh oh, problems in the alliance? Multiple director level whines blaming the general members or other BRUCE?

I mean all the constant posts about how you are just tired and didn't do BRUCE justice is kind of countered by all your "secret" posts on your own forums about how you don't think the alliance can defend its space and constantly blame the FCs or command staff, right before cutting and running while trying to cherry pick the best people. |
